Beautiful gardens and restaurant. We did wait a while before service came for drinks but was quick after that. I had the shrimp and grits and sampled some of the bisque and salads. All of it was delicious. The shrimp and grits was perfectly creamy and chewy. The tomato was flavorful and the shrimp juicy.

My husband and I had an incredible lunch! We ate fried green tomatoes, corn fritters and their delicious mushrooms in brioche! He sipped on some wicked bourbon and I had the apple bomb. 10/10, definitely recommend the frid green tomatoes!

Service was okay but a bit slow.i had coffee but was never asked if I wanted a refill. Waitress was very busy so we left her alone. Salmon plate was nice, good if you don't want any carbs. Wouldn't order the biscuits and gravy again. Biscuits were very flat. Best part of the meal was the beignets. I wouldn't rush to eat there again, but the ambience was nice and the view was good.

Middleton Gardens are some of the prettiest we have in the Charleston area. It makes the best outdoor wedding venue I could imagine. I will also suggest having lunch at the restaurant, it has a nice selection of dishes and they are all delicious. There is also a garden market and gift store that are well worth shopping. It is so worth the trip.

What a beautiful restaurant- we went during the evening and I can't wait to revisit during the day to see the gardens and scenery. The soup of the day was delicious, I had the scallops and my boyfriend had the steak, both were amazing and cooked perfectly. Kayla was so sweet and attentive, thank you :)

The scenery at Middleton is stunning. If possible, visit the grounds and attractions. Take a leisurely walk about the place and sit in a quiet spot next to the river and watch the wildlife. Then have lunch or dinner. We have also stayed at Middleton Inn which is a great not-crowded more private option with gorgeous natural surroundings.

We are staying at the Inn at Middleton Place so coming here was very convenient. The food was very good and if we were true foodies we would rave but we are more middle of the road…so the menu was a little “out there” for us.

Such a romantic venue with great garden views and old paneling.Salads were tasty and innovative. Our entrees were delicious and ample…a huge but tender pork chop and a tender black grouper fillet, with interesting and tasty sides, such fingerling root vegetables and sweet potato, a welcome change from the usual starches. The wine list was extensive and we ordered a well above standard merlot and a delicious white burgundy. For dessert we shared a snazzy turtle cheesecake and thankfully there was enough to take home and enjoy again. We always enjoy this restaurant because they locally source and have many years experience with southern food that is traditional yet with cutting edge inhancements.

Lovely restaurant tucked into a historical landmark. The menu is always changing and features a good bit of farm to table fare. Definitely upscale. Not overly pricey. Worth a visit and maybe a shareable item...

Smaller menu. She crab soup is delicious. The grilled chicken was very good. Unique and beautiful setting with large windows in the restaurant. Great service. Fair prices.

Place was beautiful, service was outstanding, but the food was not 5 star quality. The meat was not seasoned much at all and the fish was very fishy considering it was a mild fish to begin with. Unfortunately I would not dine here again.

Wood tables and chairs and wood floors surround by glass that over looks part of the gardens near the house. We went in about 1140 and has plenty of time to eat the buffet before our 1230 house tour. The catfish was excellent, the fried chicken and sides good. The pecan pie needs work - too sweet. The price is a little high at $31 but it does include drink.

Loved the atmosphere of this place. But food was very dry and bland. Thought it was a lot of money for the quality of food you get.

This is a beautiful restaurant with great classic Lowcountry cuisine. Sitting in the enclosed patio treats you to views of some of the gardens, statues, ponds, and live oak trees--views that are just as delicious and memorable as the food. We love eating here.
