“I wanted to start the new year with a pecan waffle from the Waffle House. I showed up early in the morning and was given a cheery greeting as I entered. The whole team of employees (waitresses and cook) were very friendly and even though they were frantically trying to fill a huge order that was called in, they still made sure I had their attention and that everything was going well with my breakfast. The breakfast I ordered did not disappoint in the least, the coffee was fresh and hot and the friendly attentive service made my visit a great start to the new year.“

From their breakfast burritos to their muffins to their iced coffee, you really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu.The employees work hard and are diligent with requests. The only thing I would work on is their egg quality. I ordered eggs over medium twice, and both times they came out easy. It would have been easy to make this place look cheap and uninspiring, however, the owners have done just enough to make it look effortlessly hip and classy. She was very impressed at the taste. Corned beef is made or missed by what you accent it with. Ruffage's choice of S&S pineapple, cabbage, swiss, aioli, honey basil dijon on rye, was a perfect combination!I had the Tony Burger Bowl mainly because of the photo on their website; it looked like a fun, complex mess! I have to admit that for my burgers, I tend to be very traditional (meat, cheese, dressing, tomato), but I figured that I would either love this place or this would be our last visit here. I.e. let's jump in with both feet!Well! This was the most complex and wonderful burger I have ever had the pleasure of eating! It was perfectly cooked. The flavors of the chili were bold, the beef was perfectly seasoned, the bun was absolutely perfect as well.THE STAFF: Just as we have come to expect since moving here from California, the staff were so sweet, accommodating and efficient. The restaurant was definitely set up by a gourmet chef because our meals were nothing less than what I would expect at a true gourmet cafe.SUMMARY: We are so fortunate that we found the beautiful quaint town of Pendleton to make our forever home in. There are many little gems that we have discovered here. Ruffage Cafe is the newest member of that list.If you are local, it would be a shame to say that you've never been, and if you are passing the general area it is worth making a trip out of the way to visit. As for my wife and I: We will be visiting many many times over by ourselves and with friends. I am looking forward to trying the Carolina Cuban next!“

“Appreciate the staff coming in for us on Christmas Day. However, I cannot understand why run the AC in December. We're just leaving and it's absolutely FREEZING at the Seneca location. I can understand if it's hot over the Grill & not wanting to turn the heat on. But blasting the AC is a bit uncalled for. Everyone at every table is bundled in coats as if they're dining outside. Waitress told us they would not turn it off for her/us. Still going to give 4 stars because we usually have no complaints at this location. Fantastic staff and food cook just right most every time“

“The food was fantastic, the waitress who served us was very good, courteous and friendly. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because me and my kids had to wait for a very long time at a corner table that was given to us. It was when I decided to check one time before leaving if there would be service at all or they were too busy, that the waitress took on for our service. The waitress and the food made up for all the waiting. Perhaps the person seating us didn't inform anyone to go to our table. I don't know. But the food was absolutely delicious. The ambience and cleanliness were on point. Definitely a place to return to.“
