This tiny luncheon place is tucked into an old-fashioned and just slightly older general store. It definitely caters to locals (otherwise one would never think of it as serving GREAT food) from blue-collar folks to cops. The bulk of customers seem to be regulars who carry out their meals. The cook serves up an amazingly wide array of sandwich/ salad options--and on Thursdays specials like low country style treats like shrimp with grits and sausage. Well hidden in a residential neighborhood, a cherished oasis for the locals. Front half of the store sells groceries but the real shining star is in the rear. Here, delectable food is prepared the same as it's been for over 40 years. Generous sandwiches with homemade soups and desserts. A taste sensation worth the trip. Absolutely delicious!

Always delicious food! Friendly staff. Love that they offer decaf sweet tea. Greek salad dressing is awesome. Tried the roast beef and cheddar for the first time…was delicious. Suggest calling your order in 30 minutes before you arrive as they are always crowded (with good reason).
