Dorty, who we didn't know was the manager, provided exceptional customer service for my family. And founding out this was our first time in Columbia South Carolina, made our decision to dine at Panera Bread wonderful and relaxing. Kudos to him and his staff. I remember when this branch opened up in Columbia's Vista, there was some buzz because it was a pleasant interior, great location, and a nice reasonably priced diverse menu with many healthy options. Workers in the area (including me) found it a good lunch option and were grateful for it. Post-pandemic, it has just gone downhill and downhill steadily. Stubbornly, I kept giving it a chance. I visit Panera on Gervais Street a few times a month. Today was totally unsatisfactory. At 3pm! I ordered an ice tea; but No sweet tea made; went to sit at a table to wait on tea being made; several tables were filthy; while there tried to use the wifi; didn’t work!No winder this location seems to have just a few customers. Terrible.
