I used to love this restaurant but I will never go to this location again. The server was rude, she questioned everything I asked for. I ordered a burrito and when they brought me 2 enchiladas I told her I ordered burritos. She rolled her eyes and brought over a manager. He said he would make me a burrito but I have to pay for the ones they brought out or they would lose money. I said those are not burritos they are enchiladas. He said they are Mexican burritos and I have to pay for them. Then a giant roach crawled up the wall and I was done! Nasty place, nasty service, and roaches!

They closed at 10pm we got there at 9:22am. Waiter wasn’t hesitant about serving us said kitchen was shutting down in 30 minus. Made us rush to order stood there didn’t give us time to look at the menu impatient I do mean Brought our food out sloppy the Shrimp smelled fishy waiter was impatient brought me the check and stood there over me until I gave him my card. My first time there was really looking forward to eating Mexican food had bad experience Won’t return ???

The staff here is very friendly. We always have very good service when we come here. The food is also great. This is by far my favorite San Jose's in Columbia.

Well as far as this chain of restaurants,this one was one of the best. First time coming here. It's just another San Jose's other than that. I'd say I'd come back for the service and the ground beef Enchiladas,with a side of beans. Pretty tasty. It is what it is. I just prefer Tex-Mex.
2022-01: Joined some friends here for lunch after years of being a customer at this location. It was the tail end of the weekday lunch rush and it wasn't too busy. We were greeted and sat immediately. Our server was attentive and pleasant. She did a great job answering some questions we had.The restaurant itself was clean, and the two story water feature in the entryway was a great aesthetic!

I have been driving up to Columbia to shop for the past year. Always passing this restaurant. My friend girl was treating me to lunch. So I chose this restaurant. I had the taco salad bowl with chicken. I tasted it and right away new something was wrong. Giving them the benefit of doubt, I tasted it again. At the bottom of the bowl it was cold and the chicken was raw, so now I'm gagging. I called the hostess over and told her the problem. The waiter came over, I order something new. The chicken enchilada supreme. It wasn't good either but it was cooked maybe too much. I told my friend "the next shopping trip we are going to pass this one by." I suggest you do the same.???

Y'all. We visited here on 11/03/21 & the food was terrible. The guac isn't fresh. Tasted and smelled like garbage. Food was disgusting. Waiter was rude (granted it's a pandemic and they're understaffed and it was busy, so I give him the benefit of the doubt).None of us ate even half of the food & when he asked if we wanted a box we declined b/c it was literally that bad. ?

I ordered for take out. Service was good but order was wrong. I asked for two pollo loco rice and beans with cheese dip and two teas as well as one soft beef taco. All this came to a total of $41.70 without tip. I tipped cash. I looked when I received my food and just seen chicken over the rice thinking the beans could be under it as well. Wrong, both of the orders didn’t come with beans nor was it the correct chicken. We received the chopped fajita chicken with peppers and onions. Also none of sauce that comes on top of the pollo loco so they didn’t even try to make it right.

Got the enchiladas supreme with side of rice and beans to go. Was well packaged and a good portion. The food was flavorful minus the rice was a little bland for my liking. When I called they said 15 minutes which I should have gotten there a little earlier had to warm the food a little when I got it home but overall I will be visiting this location again maybe for a dine in experience to better gauge it
