My favorite place on Folly. My wife and I tried to go tonight for a painkiller and our favorite burger. Place is closed. We asked around and sounds like it may not reopen. We are very sad tonight.

A perfect little dive bar! I saw many reviews about the painkiller drink, so I was intrigued to try it. Thank god I did because it was really good!!! Highly recommend it. They're wings are the best on Folly Beach! They compare to New York wings (which have the best wings...New Yorkers you know what I mean). They're burgers are great as well as their Philly Cheesesteak. If you aren't into the noise, I'd recommend going early and during the week (Mon-Thurs).

Food, drinks, and service were all amazing!We had hanger steaks and painkillers... both to die for! Makenna was our server, and she was the best! Literally the best service we've had in a long time! She was so personable and really made us feel like part of the Surf Bar family ❤️ Can't wait to come back and hopefully have her as our server again!

Dude! Yes it's a dive, but it's where you want to be on a hot and humid day. Dark and cool inside, good drinks, freaking amazing food. I watched one young guy all by himself in the kitchen whip up like 15 plates of scallops back to back to back. He was killing it. We didn't come for food but figured if everyone else was ordering, we had to. And the scallops were perfect. It's a good crowd, so al-in-all, a great place to hang and cool off after a day at the beach.

Surf bar used to be for locals. Now it sold out more than “less than jake”. Surf bar used to allow bathing suits dripping wet without shirts for men and now it needs shirts and dry pants. Surf bar used to have a free shower our back but now there is no shower. Surf bar used to have a hidden kids menu including chicken fingers andpb&j but now taken away. Kids menus blows. Surf bar used to be the reason I hit folly and now is the reason I avoid it. Fak off sb, u suk.
great place for a burger or a cheesesteak. or to just grab a beer or drink and sit and enjoy the music and atmosphere. friendly staff and the surf style decor is really cool. be sure to add a dollar to the wall while your there!

It's a dive bar. What it lacks in style it makes up for in service my server was amazing. When I asked for another order of fries and the kitchen was closed she found a way to do something (a bag of chips) rather than telling me no. You don't see that kind of care anymore and she honestly is the reason I'm giving this place 4 stars.

This place might've been a little noisy for our 6 year old, but she's super laid back and the patrons and staff were all very friendly. She thought it was a lot of fun. The food was really good, service was as fast as it could be for such a busy night, and everyone was really friendly. My Wife only had a salad, but everything was super fresh, vibrant, and it was a large serving. It wouldn't have been out of place in a high end steak house. I had ahi tacos which were delicious and my Daughter had a pb&j with fries. The mojitos were really good too. They also serve Painkillers, which were great. I've had the original Painkillers at the Soggy Dollar on Jost and these would've done the Soggy Dollar proud. We will definitely return on our next trip to Folly.
