“My Son treated me to a wonderful Mothers Day treat at The Independent! We began with Aperol spritzs from the bar, which were wonderful. We then ordered the oysters on the half shell and the devilled eggs with fried oyster. Both were excellent. Then we had the blackened flounder with andouille sausage and lump crab pileau with lemon beurre monte. The was also fried okra on the side. It was all phenomenal! To finish we had the Apple Pandowdy with vanilla ice cream. Perfect finish to a wonderful meal!”

“We tried a little bit of everything at River Room: the Upscale Blue Plate, the Pecan Chicken, two Kids’ Fish meals, and the Chicken Alfredo with meat. Overall, a solid spread. The flounder special definitely stole the spotlight — tender, flavorful, and gone way too fast. The Chicken Alfredo also got a big thumbs‑up at the table. A nice meal with a few standout bites that made it worth the stop.”

“Visited Georgetown for 2 days and ate at Rollin Locals 3 times. Made me soo happy!! Poke bowl spicy tuna roll, seaweed and regular salad. Such quality . Great atmosphere and even hit half price Wednesday. Just go.”

“(wrote this review on Google as well) Eve's is what I call local food and service you DO write home about. I'll say, back home, there's no establishments like her restaurant. Loved the place so much we couldn't stop talking and thinking about it after the first visit. We came back a 2nd time the same week before I had to fly back home. Tried about half the menu from the j*** chicken, curry goat, curry oxtail, and ribs. Don't forget about the sides! Collard greens, candied yams, plaintains, potato salad, chicken rice, corn bread. Ginger tea, lemonade. Pound cake. Peach cobbler. D E L I C I O U S. The portions were all just right for the price and the food is really packing with flavor. Favorites are definitely the j*** chicken, chicken rice, and plaintains, corn bread was the perfect type of sweet! To really top it off, we really adored Eve and her staff. Absolutely friendly and kind folks!!! If I could, I'd order her food to get shipped to me in my state. Thank you Eve and staff for such an incredible experience and we look forward to coming back again when I'm in town. If you're someone Googling this restaurant debating to come in, you should really give them a try!!!”

We had an iced mocha and a frappé and they really deserve the title best coffee! And the Blondie was so yummy as well! “My daughter decided that she wanted a sweet potato pie instead of cake for her birthday. I wound up being under the weather and couldn’t make it for her. We stopped by Aunny’s on our way to Pawley’s after calling and confirming that they had a whole pie and would sell it to us. It was a delicious pie and my daughter was very happy. “Nice small lodge with some friendly people. ( of course) Met a guy named david that is a local history buff, and he pointed me to sights to see.
They let me park my RV. In the field behind the lodge, no hookups of any kind but a legal place to park.”

“I love this place and have loved it since it opened. Best Japanese Hibachi around. One of the best things about moving back to the area is having this place nearby. For ten years of living far away, every time I passed through Georgetown, I had to stop here to eat. This restaurant will always hold a special place in my heart and stomach. My favorites are the filet mignon and fried rice. Staff is always very friendly and the food is always delicious. Love this place so much.”

“Very Authentic Mexican! Fresh ingredients, cozy atmosphere, and they even have a little store you can shop and pick up some of your favorite Mexican Snacks, seasonings, and drinks!

Don't hesitate to dine in! They offer a fresh salsa bar for you to choose addled toppings for whatever!

“I visited Root on Saturday with my son and his fiance. They are by far one of the nicest restaurants I've been to in a while. Very clean, friendly, accommodating, and the food was top tier delicious. I highly recommend this place for any occasion.”

“New name, it's now called, The Gator Grill. Enjoyed my supper with friends out back, near water! Bit odd, that they were out of shrimp at 6 pm on Saturday . Friendly and attentive staff😀. We all had appetizers, and shared with each other. Good size portions and reasonable prices! I would recommend, and look forward to eating here again.”
