The food we had was excellent! We started with the hush puppies which had a different twist as they had shrimp, jalepenos, street corn in them. Served with a bourbon butter. Hot, crispy on outside not greasy. Soft and delicious on inside. My husband had the grouper tacos and they were outstanding! Having lived in and currently work in NC I had to have the Cheerwine BBQ carnitas taco salad. It was huge but delicious with the cilantro lime ranch dressing on the side. The Pink Lady Margarita was excellent too. Highly recommend trying Cantina 42 in downtown Georgetown!

Always a joy going to the Cantina. Pick anything on that menu and you can taste the freshly prepared food with flavorful ingredients. The staff is so friendly, fun and knows the items on the Menu. Not sure what you like? Ask the staff, they will surely know what to suggest you try.

Everything about this place was amazing ?! We came in after visiting a neighbor restaurant in which the service was not great, as soon as we walked in here, we felt welcomed! We ordered the pineapple margarita which was the best margarita I've had in a long time. Our waiter mentioned that they make their margarita mix in house. For lunch we ordered the pork belly tacos with a street mix pico and the carne asada tacos. The BEST flavor on both but my favorite was definitely the pork belly! They have flour or corn tortillas. We had grilled corn tortillas and the flavors were just simply amazing! I 100% recommend this restaurant. We will be driving an hour to come back but we will definitely be coming back!

This place is trying really hard to be an amalgamation of Lowcountry fair and I guess Southwest or Latino food. They're missing the mark on all fronts. I got the ribeye as recommended by the server to the tune of 29.99 and ended up with what seems like a IHOP or Waffle House steak, (yes it was that thin). The signature shrimp tacos that my wife got were drenched in some kind of sweet disgusting sauce and had no actual good flavor. Tiny little popcorn shrimp saturated and juice on a shell and that was it. I would not waste my time coming back to this restaurant. The server was friendly.

It was just ok. Not terrible but not great. You can't combine different kinds of tacos, which was disappointing. It took a while for the food to come out too. The patio is nice and the server was friendly.

This is in no way a cantina, just because you put mexican words on the menu does not mean its mexican! The salsa was runny chunky tomato sauce void of flavor, not even salt, the chips were old, cold and greasy, the main course took 20 minutes to get and there was only 2 other couples in the place and they were drinking! The Barbacoa Tacos were a soggy mess, beef pot roast with some bbq sauce on top of a drenched tortilla, the side of black beans and rice were even more disappointment on a plate! Black beans tasted like baked beans, the rice was yellow and I could not even tell you what it tasted like! As we were leaving another couple who just got the salsa n chips asked if there was any spicier salsa, she said no, they asked for hot sauce, she stated we don’t have that here!

welp lets start off with the salsa n chips, salsa was chunky tomato sauce, absolutely no flavor, the chips were cooked probably the day before, greasy and cold! We ordered the daily special of Barbacoa Tacos it comes with a side of rice and black beans! we will start with the sides, rice came out and it was yellow, never ever have I eaten yellow rice at a mexican restaurant, it was not mexican or spanish rice, just odd black beans were oddly seasoned kinda between a charro bean and baked beans, the Barbacoa Tacos were a soggy mess, basically it was a chuck roast with a bbq flavor, no barbacoa seasoning, it sadly lacked any mexican spices! Will not be back. The waitress was nice, nothing special she checked on us once! The inside was okay again nothing special, they were playing sad country music.
