“NEW OWNERS!!! New owners put a lot of time and effort into revamping this place. It's cleaned up inside but still a good "hole in the wall" feel. My favorite thing about hole in the walls is that it's guaranteed to have good food. I got the pretzels and the steak sandwich. Pretzels were FRESH and the steak sandwich was absolutely amazing. Service is great. Atmosphere is just as amazing.“

The employees are great and have always treated me with utmost respect and nothing short of total professionalism. Chris’s Place Bar reminds me of the old program “CHEERS”. Your greeted with a smile as ya come in; and everyone seems to know who ya are! If you’ve never been there; you should stop in and give it a try. You might just find yourself wanting to come back! “The wings were delicious BUT the dipping sauce was unreasonably watered down and the accompanying celery was small. That said, the Guinness pour is the best in Charleston and the counter service was above and beyond. Please change the wing dipping sauce to something better than water and provide celery that is actually reasonable rather than sparse 1" stubs. Celery is cheap.“
“Make sure you come with people the crowd is not very friendly it's mostly families or couples that tables. The food was very good The service I guess depended on how many people were at the table. I was kind of left by the wayside I was by myself at the bar just trying to order some food. If it was very good I don't think I'll go back. Unless I have a group.“
“The food has definitely became a hit and miss I guess I go there to much. The bartenders are not bad they are busy. The juke box can play whatever you pay for. Stacy and Ashley are the bartenders that service me. Jeff sometimes come help and joke around.“
“Ordered club sandwhich with fries . WingsFood was served in less than 10 minutes. Sandwhich was huge. Gave a very healthy portion of fries that were hot and crispy. Wings were hot, cooked through well and were well seasoned (ranch dry rub). Wife ordered Mango Lemonade. One of the best she's ever had. Will visit again.“
“Perhaps St Patrick's Day isn't the best day to go to an Irish pub, but if not then, when? The food was adequate, but they were out of so many things, I just felt like they weren't prepared. The waitstaff was not on point, and we waited excessive amounts of time between "visits" to our table, even when taking into account the level of busyness. Employees standing around chatting or texting didnt help either. I was disappointed, not sure this is the place to go for Irish Fare any more.“
“Mrs. Merely is great. It was not very buisey so we kinda had a run on the place. There was music and pool tables, oh and beer of course. It is primarily a Hispanic bar but we were welcomed by all and had a great time. The food was also pretty good as well.“
