Had dinner at Lakeview, now called The Dam Restaurant recently and the food and service was excellent. Great atmosphere. Everyone was so nice and welcoming. Food was served quick and was delicious. Will be back often.

We got takeout for dinner and the food was great. My wife enjoyed the Philly Cheesesteak sandwich and I had the meatloaf. I would dine here again.

Only people there. Food was alright but not worth the price. Could have went anywhere at that price. Service was good but will not be back. Not worth it.

Make your fries crispier and you'll have it in the bag. My wife, friend and I came for the first time last week. Everything and the employees were great. Just cook the fries a tad longer

We were considering taking some friends to the Dam Restaurant and decided we should go there ourselves first to see how it was. We were familiar with the establishment previously there--Lakeview Steak House. I actually helped build that place when I was a teenager. Anyway, we went, and both my wife and I decided to order seafood. I had fish and chips; my wife had shrimp. Both of us found the french fries to be quite sub par. They were soggy. Taste not bad but not pleasant to eat because of texture. It made things worse that they had piled these soggy potatoes on top of my fish, beginning to ruin its crispy exterior. I removed them before the damage was fully done. The fish itself was good, as were my wife's shrimp. We both liked the slaw. The tea was good. The main minus was the fries. Our waitress was very helpful and personable. However, some of the surrounding clientele were, let us say, somewhat coarse.Bottom line for us was that we are unlikely to take friends there. Going to look for a step up in overall quality.

Went there early on a Saturday for lunch before any lunch rush, staff was very polite and attentive. I had the meatloaf which was absolutely ridiculous, the best meatloaf I’ve had no joke, not crazy sweet with a gallon on ketchup like some places it was just right and the fried okra was amazing. FYI if you get the meatloaf get your side boxed up because you won’t be able to eat it. Our bill was around 50 bucks for two because we got appetizers and extra side but the entree was only 12.99 before tax! My wife had the fish and chips and wouldn’t shut up how juicy the fish still was after a good frying. Go show this place some love and try it out. There’s even a beautiful outside area to sit and eat by the water. I wish I had pics for the review but no point in spoiling go see for yourself.

There's new owners. This is basically a Chinese Restuarant now. We had Fish n Chips. I was wondering if there was fish under the quadruple breaded fish that looked like he was starving in the ocean. They came with shoestring french fries that had an incredible amount of salt and were flimsey and old. And the coleslaw was not to my taste, but it was fresh. We had the spicy shrimp appetizer, that was drizzled in Yum Yum sauce. When we arrived there was 2 other tables. The 2 servers looked like brothers and were very nice boys. Its nice to see the kids working for the family business and learning to run a business. Anyway you must tell them to put the order in right away. After we ate the shrimp, the server said he put the order in. It took 20 minutes to get our food (and the place was empty. I mean how long does it take to drop fish and fries in oil when you literally have 5 tables in the whole restaurant to serve?). I def won't be back.

Went recently for dinner and was not impressed. To start they did not have a ABL license so we only had soda, water, and tea to choose from. From what I heard around the table the soda was flat. I ordered the fillet tips which comes with a baked potato which could not be substituted for green beans so I was charged an additional $4 as well as $5 for a side salad. The “fillet” tips were extremely over cooked and a poor quality of meat. I use fillet as a loose term because I’m pretty sure that is false advertisement and is a lower cut of steak they serve you instead . Also the side salad has a lot of lettuce that was old and getting past the point of being edible. Also another dish that was served was the salmon salad and the salmon was obviously pre frozen considering the square shape and almost yellow color. Way over cooked as well! I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Looks like it has changed again new menu, new name (higher prices)and no bread with the meal. Ordered tonight what now is called filet tips but looked and tasted like the same sirloin tips but now have to pay extra for the mushroom gravy. Will not be driving that far to go again.
