“My girlfriend and I had the pleasure of dining at Shug's on January 27th for dinner. It was a first for us. The wait time was about an hour which was not so bad considering how busy it was. We were seated in the middle of restaurant and our service was prompt. We ordered the pulled pork nachos as an appetizer. The nachos were okay, they were a little over sauced and a bit salty but overall they were okay. The BBQ sauce was tasty and the pork was okay, could've been seasoned more. For our main dish we both ordered steak and baked potato with a ceasar salad. I ordered the NY Strip..medium... The e seasoning and the cook were excellent. My girlfriend ordered the filet. She said it was excellent. The only issue with it was the fact that they butterflied the filet. With a cut like a filet that seems odd unless they are unsure of how to cook it. The steaks were very tender and juicy. I would highly recommend it. The baked potatoes and salad were greatWe will definitely go back and visit again.“
“The lunch menu Monday-Friday 11am- 2pm is the best deal. 9.99 drinks are included. They give you your money's worth and more. Their food is always delicious. I got my last plate super, super fast. I recommend 2 foods highly. The popcorn shrimp and the catfish but the other fish types are good too.“
“Great place to eat if you only want buffet. But as to seafood? The only "seafood" was fried fish. Probably whiting, which was good, but I was expecting shrimp & other "seafood", especially because they had cocktail sauce. It's really more "country cookin", done well tho. Good salad bar & several deserts. Not really a seafood place.“
