Octopus and pork belly was good. Fish special was good. Shrimp coquettes could be better- more shrimp and less fried. Almost burnt. Kind of blah and no flavor. Angelo was a great server!

Okay. Looking for fine dining options while in Charleston, I made reservations here based upon the Open Table listing. The photographs and description weren't necessary misleading, but it was not what I expected. It is a hotel restaurant, adjacent to a bar room/dining. Patrons at the bar were very loud, which spilled over into the small dining area. It gave the impression of a marina bar and dining area that is not what I was expecting. Bear in mind, I spent some money for Uber to and from Charleston expecting an upscale seafood restaurant. This may have been my error for not researching better. Credit goes to the marketing department of the hotel for presenting this place in a great light. The food was very good as was the staff. Pricing was similar to any fine dining restaurant in the area; without the atmosphere. I suppose if I was a guest at the hotel it would be fine, but it certainly isn't a destination restaurant. Great food and staff, just not the place to make an effort to visit.

The servers were wonderful. The restaurant is beautiful. The food is priced like a fine dining restaurant, but the quality does not support that price. The crab bisque has great flavor but arrived cool. The pork chop was overcooked. The potatoes had way too much garlic. We ordered the bread basket, it was delicious but they charged $8 for two biscuits and a small disc of corn bread. Most fine dining restaurants provide gourmet bread to justify this price point. The butter served with the bread basket and the oysters served on the half shell were fantastic.

We had the restaurant week menu. The food was delicious but the portions for dinner and dessert were extremely small (a small plate portion). I'm not sure if that was due to restaurant week or if the portions are always that small. Definitely not worth the money for the portion size. Unfortunate, because the food was very good. The staff was terrific and the service was great.

Our food was great. However, it weren't restaurant week, $80 before taxes and tip would be too much for crab bisque, pork chop and cheesecake, although I'm sure the portions are larger on the regular menu.

Honestly the chef is outstanding the short rib and pork chop were the absolute best we have ever had! The crab chowder was beyond amazing and our server Joseph was exceptional he brought us a sauce to dip the fingerling potato's in and we are still raving about them!!!

Had a very good experience at Coastal Provisions last night mostly due to the fact that our server Connie was so personable, knowledgeable and helpful. We go to this restaurant fairly regularly because we live nearby. The food is always good but having a such great service makes all the difference.

Fish was not fresh, steaks tough and every side tasted like weekend leftovers. Sadly, this is not worth a visit while vacationing at Isle of Palms. Our server Connie was gracious and tried her best.

Nice food truck with some awesome Mexican food. Shrimp tacos are excellent and if you want tequila they have it too. Love it.

The she crab soup had no chunks of crab. The bowl was flat and large. The she crab soup and blue crab soup was one in the same. The temperature was medium. The main course food at four didn't come out at the same time. We had to ask the servers name. When he first came to the table, we thought he was the Waterboy! He brought a free drink to one of the girls, and not to the other who ordered alcohol.

We had 2 dinners and 1 breakfast at Coastal Provisions. Best friendly staff ever!!! Amazing Cuisine , desserts, and cocktails. Connie was our great server for 1 Dinner. Angelo was our great server for Our shared Birthday Wonderful Dinner . Thank you for the great visits . Scott & Donna Middlemist

So on Labor Day, Open Table only showed bar availability for 6:30. Upon arrival, we noted many empty tables and had no problem obtaining a table. We spent a leisurely hour and one half and noted that during that time, the restaurant was never more than 1/3 full. No telling how many people went elsewhere and missed an excellent meal.

We had a lovely lunch and dinner at Coastal Provisions. The food was phenomenal but our experience was memorable due to exceptional service from Connie. She made excellent food and drink recommendations and we all left full and happy. Fwiw - this was during Hurricane Idalia and Connie wasn't phased a bit!

Food was great. Husband said the northern oysters were the best he's had. Server was fantastic. Bartender perfect. A couple w 2 kids next to us just sat there as their kids wailed for 1.5 hrs. Everyone was looking at them and they could have cared less. The reason for the rating is the management didn't do a thing. So if you're up for that, have at it. We won't go again despite a good meal.
