Okay. Looking for fine dining options while in Charleston, I made reservations here based upon the Open Table listing. The photographs and description weren't necessary misleading, but it was not what I expected. It is a hotel restaurant, adjacent to a bar room/dining. The servers were wonderful. The restaurant is beautiful. The food is priced like a fine dining restaurant, but the quality does not support that price. The crab bisque has great flavor but arrived cool. The pork chop was overcooked. The potatoes had way too much garlic. We ordered the bread basket, it was delicious but they charged $8 for two biscuits and a small disc of corn bread. Most fine dining restaurants provide gourmet bread to justify this price point. Octopus and pork belly was good. Fish special was good. Shrimp coquettes could be better- more shrimp and less fried. Almost burnt. Kind of blah and no flavor. Angelo was a great server!
