Odd experience... Completely unexpected and below par.Big disappointment. My son and his girlfriend got sick after dinner that affected them until morning and we had to miss our morning golf reservation due to this experience.Shrimp & Grits and the she crab soup were the culprit of my son and his girlfriend's health demise. My catch of the day under par.Just strange, off, off-putting experience. My son complained about the sour shrimp & grits as there also were pieces of shrimp shell in the dish that he choked on...his meal was taken off the bill but that's not the point...Bottom Line: dining experience during and after were below standard for the venue. Some experiences can't be rectified...this perhaps was one...and totally not in keeping with the excellence one expects of the Kiawah Island Resort.

Soup was overpriced anddisappointing. Good salad, but bolognese lacks flavor. Also, veggies need some improvement and need more options. Excellent

What a great place to visit for cocktails watching the sunset! It was a bit cold and windy, but we still opted to sit outside and watch the final golfers come through and a glorious sunset. Cocktails were expertly crafted and we savored every sip. Seated inside for dinner, we were greeted by our friendly server, Priyasha. We ordered appys and wine. Very reasonably priced by the glass options. Local and PEI oysters were super fresh. She crab soup was a huge bowl and had more she crab than I've ever received. Delicious, but definitely a heavy starter with portion size and cream base. BF absolutely adored the filet for dinner. Perfectly cooked and served with breathtaking side of mushrooms, onions and spinach sautéed with bacon. Yum!!! I kept stealing bites myself. I opted for the appetizer farmers salad with fresh local veggies! Delicious! A side of truffle Mac made our meal complete. We couldn't finish it and would have taken it back, but we wouldn't have eaten it before returning home. Loved the entire experience from venue/view with cocktails for sunset, to amazing dinner overlooking golf course. Service was attentive and excellent as well! What a find!

If you are looking for a nice place to dine within the Kiawah resort, the Atlantic room is a nice option. Overlooking the golf course the restaurant offers, scenic views, and a diverse menu. I tried the lobster caviar deviled eggs, the grouper and the farmers plate. Although nothing stood out as spectacularly delicious, the food was good, and the experience was positive, so I would certainly come back to further explore their menu. The dress code is business casual. Expect to see a mixed crowd of diners from golfers , families, date nights to wedding parties. If the weather is cold, there is a beautiful fireplace in the lobby. There is a large parking lot with plenty of free parking.

Executive Chef Ondo was so kind and friendly to our table. What an inviting experience he provided. Our server Rodney didn’t seem emotionally invested while hosting our table but no problems with the food. The Atlantic Room is deserving of five stars.

Beautiful dining room with sweeping views of the Kiawah island golf course and ocean! However the food is lacking. It would be great if soy was omitted from many of the dishes as soy is a common allergy.Dietary restrictions: They are accommodating with guests who are gluten free or have food allergies.

My wife and I dined here on our Kiawah vacation. We started with tomato and peaches with Burrata. Adding the peaches to this dish makes it a different flavor but still very good. My wife had the shrimp and grits and it was the best she has ever had. The sauce was not thick and had a wonderful flavor. I had the fish of the day, golden tile, with summer beans, corn bisque, peppers, etc. it was a wonderful fish dish. The service was solid and the views are nice since the restaurant is at the Ocean Course.

Incredibly wonderful dinner experience. Located in the Ocean Course on Kiawah Island, where one might expect a Touristy overpriced restaurant, and pass. In my opinion, this would be a regrettable decision. Yes, the exterior is a Top Ten golf course and geared to golfers, somewhat raucous and lively, but once you enter the elegant, yet understated, dining areas the transformation begins. You have arrived A Superbly created haut Low Country cuisine menu created by Chef John Odon sets a standard I have to find equaled, and that includes Magnolias in Charleston. The Filet Mignon to perfection. IMO better than Ruth's Chris Steak House, Hall's Chophouse, Grill 225 in Charleston. The signature dish, Country Captain was so wonderful. It has a hint of curry. Just Wow. Loved the the Grouper. It was yum. Our starter, Escarole salad with a special hint of tuna instead of Anchovy was better than my mothers. RIP. For desert we had White Chocolate Bread pudding and Strawberry Shortcake. Excellent wine list and the coffee smooth and bold. I would be remiss if I did not acknowledge Erik our server. Congenial, professional, patient and interesting. Spent time talking about our heritages without neglecting needs of other eating guests. Genuinely concerned about our dining experience being top shelf. The Atlantic Room is not inexpensive, but so happy we didn't miss it. John and Shirley Aleck. Marc and Johanna Aleck

I had the most delicious dinner last night - the Catch of the day was swordfish, and it was perfectly seared (a crispy crust but not over cooked inside), served on corn bisque with tomato confit, lunch box peppers, summer beans and green tomato jam. I practically licked the plate. One of the best fish dishes I've had in a long time. Love coming here and enjoying the ocean views!

Hostess was average, but everything after that was outstanding. The server and all staff were friendly and outgoing. View was phenomenal. Food was very good. Quite a few choices.
