This is the worst food and service I've ever experienced. Only one person waiting tables, cooking and cleaning. Was given bean dip with my chips see photo. Not an onion! We didn't get napkins or silverware until we asked for it. This is the first restaurant I've actually walked out of because I could not eat the food it was sooooo bad!!!

El Amanecer is the best Mexican food we’ve had in Irmo, Columbia and Lexington. We are from Arizona so the bar is high. This is not your typical Tex Mex found on the west coast. It’s also not your typical bland, drenched in cheese sauce you find here in the Irmo, Columbia, and Lexington areas. This is flavorful, made from scratch with great pride. You can taste the love. I had the carne asada plate, the steak was SO FLAVORFUL, the chorizo, EXCELLENT, not greasy, not fatty. The tortillas are homemade and so fresh! The staff were so kind and we felt welcome there. The cost was very reasonable. We are going to put this place in our regular rotation! Take it from Arizonans, you have to give it try! Also the music awesome!

I love this place. The food and stuff are all amazing. I highly recommend it! My favorite thing is the nachos. Their queso was also very good. If you're lucky enough to be there when they have watermelon agua fresca, don't miss it.

We went to El Amanecer this eve and it was so great. Food and drinks were delicious and made to order. We were served by the owner herself who was very sweet eager to please. Home made chips, flour and corn tortillas. Try it out.
