Find the bakery and make the trip. It is worth it. I am from Massachusetts and went to some other local bakeries for my family. This one does not even compare. It is the best!!!“

This was a long distance order and everything was handled professionally, from her prompt response to my messages to the delivery of the finished product. “We’ve been to this bakery several times in the last year. Everything is absolutely delicious! Strawberry cake is so good. Just ordered a lemon cake and you could see the lemon zest, nothing artificial in her goods. Famous for her cinnamon rolls, just looking at them makes your mouth water. Always trying new recipes. She’s a small batch bakery, which makes everything fresh, so if there’s something specific you want I’d order in advance.“

“I ordered a cake for my wife's 70th birthday and chose Cakes by the Sea because of the reviews and the quality of their website. I attempted to call the store on a day they showed as open, but there was no answer. I used a link to send an email and a couple of days later I received an email response that stated they were closed for vacation and would not be open for a couple more weeks. In my opinion, this information should have been posted on their website so that customers are aware. I wanted to order a specialized cake for this occasion so I was happy to wait since I did not need it for some time. I went to the store and ordered the cake a couple of weeks before the pickup. The woman who assisted me was friendly and assisted me with choosing the cake and the specific decorations that would be added. Because this was a surprise I was not able to pick the cake up the day of the party and had arranged for a friend go to pick it up. When I placed the order there were a couple of specific things that I requested to be done. Many who read this will say that this may be a bit nit picky but the sea grass piping on the side of the cake was to be done in a brown icing and was done in white. They also were to add additional white chocolate sea horses, which they did. That being said, the cake was truly a hit with my wife and all those who attended the party. The chocolate cake was moist and delicious and the peanut butter butter cream was also very good. overall I was pleased with the cake with the exception of the seagrass color, which would have given the sides of the cake a little more texture visually. The 4 stars is given because the cake was not completed exactly as ordered and for a higher end cake it should have been correct. The other reason is due to the website not reflecting the lengthy closing for vacation. I have contacted the store and discussed for informational purposes the missed sea grass color and they appreciated the information. I would absolutely recommend this bakery as a place to have a cake ordered and will order from here myself again in the future.“

“Absolutely love this little joint. service is absolutely killer, they have the sweetest girls working in the mornings. food is pretty good, their bagels are not my favorite. however the lattes are absolutely fantastic . they're quick, i like to stop by here on my way to work.“

“Consistently great food and service! This is one of those solid spots where the locals go. It can get busy during the warmer months but I promise the wait is worth it! My family and I always stop by when we’re craving sandwiches for lunch, and while seating can be limited I like that they have the covered outdoor patio seating too. My usual order is the #1 Calabash Club on a 7” sub (and yes I love that that rhymes! ?).“

“Stumbled on this bakery while exploring the North Myrtle Beach area, and what a find!. Best bakery cookies, (freshly made daily) that I've had. Made a point of visiting one last time before leaving for Tennessee with some cookies to bring along for the ride home. Definitely worth seeking out.“

“Very modest and humble people run and own this location. Was given the wrong flavor cake back in September 2023 and was told to contact them back to pickup another.. fast forward to now February 2024 I just remembered and contacted them to see what could be done and planned to be paying something for a cake but they honored the Free Replacement cake at no charge. They are awesome friendly and very understanding and I’m sure this mistake doesn’t happen often but with this occurrence they quickly fixed the situation even with the time gap. Even with this experience we have not had a bad one and the cakes are so good and moist. Beyond 5 stars for use. Love the Kirby Family ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“

“If you're looking for good homemade food with amazing taste, you gotta try their baked goods and premade food. Their chicken salad is amazing! Their homemade jam is to die for!!!! You won't find a better store that sells authentic amish homemade recipes and handmade items. There's no where else like this in Myrtle Beach area. Not to mentions these Halloween decorations I picked up today...ONE OF A KIND! ??Country living amish store will not disappoint!“

“The pepperoni rolls are just as my husband remembers when he was in college in WVA. The ancestors of this present day baker immigrated from Italy and this generation is continuing the tradition. The take out entrees are traditional as well.we can attest to the lasagna. The small shop in Longs is worth the drive. Steve is proud of his heritage and of the food he prepares. The breads can also be purchased at grocery stores such as Lowes Food and Food Lion.“
