Carolina Seafoods Inc. is a must-visit destination for seafood lovers. Located in the low country, it's worth a day trip from Charleston or Mt Pleasant. The restaurant offers incomparable dips, including shrimp dip, crab dip, and pickled shrimp, all made with fresh seafood from the fishing fleet moored across the parking lot. The staff, exemplifying "Southern Hospitality," are super nice and helpful in planning purchases. The seafood prices are among the best in the Lowcountry, and the quality is unsurpassed. While they don't serve lunch, the scenic drive along Highway 17 and the opportunity to watch shrimpers on the wharf make it a fun half-day trip.
