“First and foremost Lesley our server was amazing. Such a sweet gal. She took her time and was Not pushy at all. We were not in any hurry so we sat a while and enjoyed the weather at one of the outside tables, and she encouraged us not to be in a rush. We loved her. Her service was amazing. We loved the atmosphere here and the outside deck. It's so nice on the outside deck, listening to the ocean waves. We will definitely be back.“
“We had a wonderful date here. Delicious dinner, quiet and cozy ambience. Our waiter was so very friendly and helpful with the menu. We ordered the calamari for our starter, and the ribeye and beef Wellington for our entrees. Tiramisu for dessert was wonderful. We were looking for the perfect date night spot while on vacation and definitely found it here. We would recommend 10/10“

“We were looking for some takeout close to the hotel and tried this. Pretty small place, Definitely seemed like more locals then tourists. Overall very good. Only negative was the time it took to get the order - they were pretty busy.... Burgers were huge and tasty. Buffalo chicken sandwich humongous as well - he said it was very good, his only wish was for a little more sauce as they seemed to rely on a dry-rub for most of the flavor. Flavor on the boneless wings also very good. I'd certainly go back again.“
“Hubby & I tried them for lunch. We had the nachos and it was so good! We sat at the bar with Tom. He was very nice & his margaritas were super good! Judy came and spoke to us as well and made sure we were good. The entire staff was really nice. We loved our experience. Will visit again when we come back into town!“
“The lady was getting her hair done next door so I decided to burn the time at Sportsmans. Immediately was welcome even though I was a touch early and struck up conversations with regulars over the games that were on. Overall welcoming vibe and super down to earth. Thankful shout out to Dustin for the beer suggestions and helping me burn some time!“
“Been there a few times. The chicken wings are meaty and delicious (save for the peanut butter wings, they're just not my thing.) Lots of flavors. Have had several apps and all have been good. The service is friendly and the beer is cold. Pretty crowded every time but that's to be expected for a pub at dinner.“
“We went there because of the rave reviews and certainly weren't disappointed. The wait staff were all very personable and attentive. The food was also fantastic. We had the stuffed mushrooms and ravioli. Both appetizers were great.The pool tables were also in great condition and we enjoyed the heaters and fire pit on the back porch. We were also there when Root 65 played. They were a great band!Parking: There are plenty of spots in the back.“
“The food was delicious and people were nice. Highly recommend the quesadilla appetizer and chicken gyros. The mozzarella sticks + fries appetizer were good but not worth it for the price. Overall, we had a good experience and will probably return in the future.“
“Dine here! You will not be disappointed! My husband and I were driving around looking for a late night eatery. It was about midnight when we discovered Tavern in the Forest. As we sat in the parking lot I decided to read their Google reviews as I always do with any business. We were pretty impressed so we decided to go in. We were greeted with great music and a fun, clean, late night adult, non smoking atmosphere. Thank God! We asked a waitress could we sit anywhere and she said yes. So we sat down and was instantly greeted by Carlotta, the same waitress that we met coming in! She happily introduced herself and provided us with the late night menu and explained everything to us after we let her know it was our 1st time here and we came in simply off reviews and hunger pains lol, plus we wanted something good other than cookout. As we looked over the menu preparing to order she got our refreshments, water with lemon and a sprite, might I add thank you Tavern for clean cups. We ordered teriyaki and lemon pepper wings, the nachos and loaded fries!! Omg when I say deeeelicious!! Everything was so fresh, hot and finger licking good! My husband and I ate until we were happy! We were literally dancing to the good music while eating! So you know it's good if you dance and eat lol! The servings were also a nice size that we had enough to take home and it was the same delicious on the next day warm up as it was the night before and that speaks volumes! We enjoyed ourselves so much we went back a few days later and requested Carlotta! When she saw my husband and I she remembered our water with lemon and sprite and came without us asking right after we sat down, which was so impressive because she said she knew what we wanted from just 1 visit lol and she was right! We ordered the mushroom and swiss burger with fries and the same wings as before! Yet again so deeeelicious! Carlotta is so attentive and an amazing, fun waitress! This place gave us everything we were looking for and more! We are so glad we live right up the street for good food, fun and now family in our books!! Keep up the great work!! “Three of us had the prime rib dinners, one had a seafood platter. Everyone loved their meals. The prime rib was 12 oz and delicious. The loaded baked potato is served after 4 p.m. /excellent The side salad with croissant is definitely a favorite /love the house dressing The service was excellent. The beer was expensive The food prices were about what you’d pay for a good meal. My husband ordered the rib eye last year and wasn’t impressed. I’m so glad he ordered the prime rib this time. Definitely recommend.“
“Visiting the area for my husband's annual golf trip. a fellow golfer recommended this place because it was near our Lodging and he thought it was pretty good. It was so close to where we were staying we could have walked. It wasn't very crowded so we had our pick of seats and we chose one overlooking the water although it wasn't that picturesque. It turns out that the boathouse waterway is also a brewery but they're renovating their brewery so their brews we're not on the menu but they still had a very good beer selection. I got the tropicalia creature comfort, and my husband got Jai Alai. (Not sure I spelled that right). Then we ordered the boathouse bog balls, which I highly recommend. There are six of them about the size of a hush puppy with some a ranch dip. If you order them ask for the specifics, but I know they contain rice, bacon, chicken and I'm not sure what else but they are good so I did not question that. Lol. They were delicious and could've served as my meal. My husband got the fish tacos and I got the Cobb salad which I couldn't finish, our server was very friendly and attentive and took great care of us. The atmosphere was friendly and we were very comfortable there.“
“Bring from out of town and not knowing what to go eat, drink and have entertain my wife Dad and myself for my 41st birthday we call whiskey beach bar and grill and spoke with crystal,she was very informativeand gave us the run down of the place and what was going on for that night.i can't even explain the amount of good laughter, good food, good people and good band they had booked there that night. I highly recommend this establishment if you're wanting to have a good time good drinks and good music with good people.“
“Just go!! First impression, we got there about 6 pm on a Sunday and there was maybe 2 other tables there and we thought of leaving because how empty it was. We went in and were kindly treated, and it smelled good!They have good sized portions, that were amazing! And the chips and salsa hit the spot!I got the Quessa- barria, definitely a must try, great flavor and tender meat.Husband got the quesadilla- fajita with steak, and it was juice and tender and the peppers had the best taste.Kids meals were good sized and very good too!I think it may have been the owner stopped by a few times to make sure it was to our liking, go give it a try!“
“Jordyn was our server, and she was fantastic! She made great menu suggestions and was spot on with her knowledge of the dishes she recommended. Portions were very generous and I had enough left over for lunch the next day. Those waffle fries were my favorite! I can only describe them as a perfect combo of my 2 favorite places to order fries from, Arby's curly fry meets Chick-fil-A's waffle fry! I will be craving those again really soon! Jordyn really made going out to eat a great experience! She anticipated everything we needed before we had to ask for it! We will definitely be returning to dine with her again.“

“The Boathouse is either calm & quiet or loud & a riot! Choose if you want a quiet lunch on the Intracoastal watching boats go by. Or choose a time when they have live music & cold beer to enjoy! It gets very crowded on Sunday afternoons & during the live music. So go early to get a table or chair! Their food is great for bar food & I love going right after church since it's across the street. Also the hotels next door are great convenience if you've had too much to drive. They get pretty booked up in the summer. The crowds are young to old, bikers to corvettes & families, singles & everyone else! You'll fit right in & dress is casual.“

“My husband & I went there for the first time to see Jimmy Mowery play & had a blast! It is an older kind of bar but it is a fun place. There's pool tables and dart boards to play around with. The bartenders are super friendly too. The food & service was on point. We will be back!“
“My wife and I were driving by and noticed this place. Being a firefighter myself, we had to check it out. We both had different types of burgers. Both were excellent, I got the homemade chips and my wife got the veggies. A young man was are waiter and was excellent! We noticed the other waitresses were very attentive to their customers also. Very cool place inside and was very happy we stopped in and we will definitely be back before we head back home to up state NY.“
“The Southwest egg rolls are too expensive for sure. $7 for 2 egg rolls is crazy. Mushrooms run about $0.50 per fried mushroom. Again, a little too expensive but not as bad. Heineken runs $4.50 and Michelob is $3.50.The burgers and a side were fairly priced at $13. All the food tasted great. Rob and Donna do a great job keeping us topped off.Great bar, great karaoke on Wednesdays, great food and great service from Rob.Come here on Wednesdays!“
“For the price point, this place is pretty good. Much better than I expected when I first walked in, as it was in an odd location. The service seemed new, but attentive. The ambiance was also very nice, with some live music that was not too loud. The food was well prepared. I had the burger, and the plate looked somewhat incomplete when it came out, but the burger was really great.“
“I treated my wife out to lunch this day. I must say everything was picture perfect. I had the honor of being served by Neko. He made sure that he accommodated us with everything we needed and went beyond by making sure all of our condiments were on the table without asking. My wife and I had the JP Burgers with fries. The food was excellent!! I thanked the chef Chris for his fine skills of cooking and the manager Steven for managing an amazing restaurant. Keep up the good work and we will definitely be back !!!“
“I don’t think I’ve ever rated a place 5 stars. You would NEVER know when looking at this place that it’s as amazing as it is. We’ve been in Myrtle beach all week. We’ve eaten at a dozen different places, 4.8 star places to be specific lol and NONE of them were as good as this place. Best drinks hands down. The bartenders around here just aren’t great to be honest but the bartender at dirty dons 10/10. The food was amazing. The corn the shrimp the hushpuppies… EXCELLENT. Don’t sleep on this place“
“A perfect dive/local bar for drinks and a sports game. Really good vibes all around. The bartender was really nice and attentive. We ordered wings and chicken strips, both were bar food but cooked well. The wings were well seasoned and hearty. There was parking out front. We were able to grab a spot without issue. A note for those coming in from out of state - smoking is allowed in the bar.“
“Fun sports bar. Lots of tvs to catch any game on. Also alot of bar games. Place is big and split into smoking and non smoking bars. Girls working the bar and servers were very good. Hot wings banging. Garlic parm ones not as good but OK. Had a good time here“
“Mostly good. Excellent food. Worth the trip just for the food. Good prices. Friendly owners and staff. Limited draft beer choices (unfortunately). The biggest advice would be for them to relax, give you a chance to sit, relax and order before they are asking you if you want to run a tab. Once they settle in a hope they do well. Definitely recommend giving them a try. They food is worth it!“
“Good basic food, total beach bar (clothes optional, swim suits mandatory ?). There are beach buckets, along with tap beer and food. The service and view are both spectacular, and the atmosphere is very relaxing! Highly recommended!! Susie was our bartender, so simply amazing!“

“Did a random stop at this place for some coffee and to do some work. The bartender Chris was extremely nice and helpful. We ended up ordering breakfast and since the atmosphere was great we stayed and had lunch and a flight of beers. We loved how dog friendly they are. Great place and highly recommended.“
