“Atmosphere is relative because, well, it’s Alvin Ord’s. You stand in line to order and there probably isn’t seating for more than a dozen inside and out. Part of the charm. Damn fine sandwiches. Unlike anywhere else. Order a salvation if it’s your first time.“

“We had a family occasion to visit Madison's a few weeks ago with a party of six. We had reservations and the meal had been planned for a while. When the food arrived, we (most of us) were astonished at the small size of a combination platter. I personally had scallops and flounder. I had two TINY strips of flounder, not even the size of a frozen fish stick. What a disappointment. The scallops were also 'marble' size. The price of the meal, with an adult beverage, was over 70.00. The cost nowhere represented what the meal should have been. One of our couples asked if the combination platter was enough to split. The server's answer was "they could eat one of them by themselves." This should have been our warning. Very disappointed in the meal. I have had appetizers larger the two tiny slices of flounder. We return to Beaufort on occasions, as family lives there, but we will NOT return to Madison's.“

“We had a great breakfast here. Sorry we hadn't tried it years ago. Husband had eggs, bacon, grits and pancakes. I had the philly omelet with their breakfast potatoes. Just wonderful! Loved our waitress. We'll be back again. Definitely worth stopping in for a bite and then take a walk around the Cypress Wetlands!!“

“Believe it or not. I was there first customer when they were located in the plaza on Bay street in 1995. And I still love their pizza . Still the best pizza in Beaufort hands down .Vegetarian options: They make it to your liking .i haven't eaten meat since 2017. I normally get the 18 inch with cheese but there are other toppings you can add they have“

“Food was excellent and offered the perfect balance of meat, vegetables, and starches. My only complaint is that the ice cream that came with our dessert was not good at all. It was a vanilla, but was seemed like it had been in the back of the freezer for a long time.“

“Ah, lamb! That's a great choice. A good restaurant often stands out when it comes to their lamb dishes. Tender, flavorful, and perfectly cooked lamb can make a restaurant truly special. Whether it's a succulent lamb chop, a savory lamb curry, or a juicy lamb burger, finding a restaurant that knows how to prepare lamb to perfection can be a real treat. Do you have a favorite lamb dish in mind?“

“We sat at the bar and our 'tender was great! I had a dark and stormy and it was really good. It's been a while since I've had one and it was well made. My follow up vodka tonic was as well, but it's hard to screw that up. My Greek salad was topped with a freshly grilled and sliced chicken breast. I love that they grill a fresh piece of chicken rather than pull cold food service grilled chicken from a bag for their salads. Service was fast considering it's the holiday rush and people were shopping and eating out. We come here every now and then, but need to try to make it more often“

“Food was fantastic, fresh as can be and our quickly. Atmosphere was pleasant, not terribly loud and very family friendly. Our main service was below par as no one could find them and then when they arrived- wearing an AirPod- they didn’t care or listen well and got the drinks wrong. Will go back, just hope for a different main server.Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly, don’t worry about any age of kids coming hereWheelchair accessibility: ♿️ ADA accessible“

“Fabulous food, I'm from MD, and you may know how we are about our seafood. But the Low Country Boil was beyond belief, along with the Seafood Pasta. Hush puppies, cornbread and coconut shrimp they were the best I have had in years! Our wait staff were great. Kudos! Can't wait to return in the fall.Sorry about the picture, it was so awesome, I forgot to take a picture before digging in.“

“Upscale atmosphere, comfortable bar, good food. However, they’re using some horrible smelling product to clean or wipe the bag and it’s stinky which is not a nice accompaniment to eating. Ick. The bartenders were very distracted with regulars and the other staff. We had to get their attention at every stage of the meals. The food runners literally dump the plates in front of you and run away as fast as possible. It felt like a diner environment.“

“The best comfort food I’ve had in a looooooong time. Please just bury me in their shrimp and grits when I die. My guest had the pimento Mac and Cheese with a lobster tail added on top. We could not have been happier. I couldn’t eat it all so brought home the remaining grits in a take out container and reheated them for breakfast. So happy. Thank you Hogshead!“

“I went in and asked the lady about some of the different salads they have (seaweed) and if they had any rice less Sushi. She was helpful and suggested i try something i usually don't get. While it may be popular with most people, i did not care for it at all. I should have just gotten it the way i always have. Otherwise the other dishes were really good and the fact that they were willing and able to give me sushi without rice was the best thing ever!“

“Let's 1st say, I really appreciate good reviews from everyone who ate here!! That's what brought me jere after driving around for 30 minutes seeing what to eat. They have a decent menu with great selections. When i walked through the door to be seated, I saw the wings someone ordered, and they looked delicious!!! 12 nice size wing cuts for 13.99!! They almost had me with those, but I chose the Fajita Burrito with a side of beans and rice. It was HUGE and good!! ALL THE FOOD CAME OUT HOT!! ?? The portions here are big, as stated by other customers. Even the cups you drink out of are huge ?. I'm a big guy 6'2 310lbs and I was only able to eat half of the burrito with my rice and beans. This was added to the #2 spot for Mexican restaurants! I need to go back and get more dishes, though, to taste and see about the authenticity. GO HERE AND EAT!!!Parking: About 25“

“What a nice find. We moved from the VA MD DC Area to Hilton Head in 2022 and I have not had Pho since. So many options up in Northern Virginia that are outstanding. We would get often as carryout. My go to is the Pho Ga and a Fried Egg or Spring Roll. While my wife and I were over in Bluffton for some errands, I said we have to go get Pho from Saigon Cafe. We ordered one Pho Ga and 2 fried Egg Rolls to take home and share. Saigon Cafe did NOT disappoint. The broth was on par with what I came to expect from highly rated Virginia pho places we loved. The main container held the white meat chicken, noodles, onions, basil, cilantro, jalapeños, lime wedge, sprouts and a hoisin sriracha mix. The carryout broth container kept it warm for the 20 min drive, but we still heated it back up for 2 minutes in the microwave to make sure the noodles and chicken got heated when we added the broth. We split everything into two bowls and poured the hot broth over both. We were both very impressed by the white meat chicken, pure and sliced into very nice, thin bite sizes. The Egg Roll was one of the best I have had, longer and thinner almost like Lumpia, it had me wishing I had doubled that order. The Pho portion was perfect for the two of us. A 2nd order would not have been eaten, although we are smaller portion eaters anyway. Will definitely be back. The photo is one half the portion with added chili crisp, hoisin, sriracha from our supply.“

“We decided to stop in last minute with 4 kiddos after a long day. We were worried about it being a little too nice to have our kids with us but our waitress was immediately more than accommodating. First the food was phenomenal . I had the best Tom Kha soup i’ve ever had. The yellow curry was amazing, pork and shrimp dumplings were great, even the kids chicken tenders were so good. Prices were very reasonable especially as portions were large. But above else our waitress Chelsea was amazing. She was the only one serving and it was fairly busy. I would have never guessed she was the only one! She hustled so hard and we hardly had to ask for a thing because she was one step ahead. What’s more is she thanked us for our patience when we didn’t have to exercise every much. Her kindness and well wishes to our family were such a blessing. We will be back :-)“

“Came in on a Monday night around 7pm. (3/24) I was seated right away. The service was good. Food came out in a timely manner after ordering it. I got calamari for an appetizer. It was cooked prefect with a good coating of breading that was golden brown with a crisp crunch. The portion size of it was good too. I did the build you own burger, so it was made just the way I like my burgers. The French fries were game-changing because of the fresh rosemary/garlic they put on them. That was popin. I felt like the portion/food quality was a par for the price. They are worth trying out.“

“This place was absolutely lovely. Erich and the entire staff were so kind, accommodating and energetic. Our waitress was delightful. The food was delicious! These were some of the best hush puppies I have had in SC by far!We went here for my brothers graduation and I was delighted to find out that their staff takes donations to help support local marine graduates who do not have family to support them. This brought so much joy to me, considering my brother has just graduated. Please if you go, consider donating. They really go out of their way to do the right thing. It is so nice to see an establishment work to do such kind things. The food was absolutely delicious and I'll be returning whenever we are in for a visit. I can't say enough kind words about the entire staff. Every single person we asked any question was so kind and happy to help. I appreciate their staff for all their hard work and for all the help they provide to these young graduates as well. It's such a beautiful thing to see. If you're in the area, please visit!Parking: The parking lot was so close and easy. It's a mere couple of feet from the front door, which is great because it's easily accessible for people!Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp to enter the restaurant and the parking lot is very close. “Took my little sister out for lunch. This is the second time I've been there, we shared a bottle of wine. My sister ordered the eggplant parmesan which was nothing less than the best we ever had next to my dad's. I never thought I would order a pizza with no meat. My sister ordered it for me the first time I was there and I ordered it again. Probably the most amazing Pizza I ever tasted. Hand throne pizza cooked in a stone oven in the middle of the restaurant. The food, the service, the laid-back casual atmosphere was all first class. The next time I'm in Beaufort South Carolina, I'm going to "Hearth Wood Fired Pizza" !!!“

“We were up from Savannah...They got us in immediately without a reservation. Noticed they had a lovely wine list. Started with drinks and their bread, both great. Ordered a Ceasar salad, wish it had a little more acidity so I waited til I could get a couple lemon wedges to squeeze over it....took about 10 min for me to finally wave someone down, but once I got the lemon the salad was perfect! The muscles were delicious and my lasagna was one of the best lasagnas I've ever had!! We will be back!“

“Yummy and fairly priced! Got us seating right away during a busy lunch time and food was served rather promptly. Got the surf and turf hoagie and it was delicious! Birds tend to eat your food if you keep it unattended so watch out for that! Our host even got us new chairs when it was discovered someone dropped cola on them. Very friendly, delicious, would recommend.“

“Traditions Restaurant is a stone throw from water. While eating you're likely to see a boat or two meandering by as you enjoy a mouth watering meal, either from the buffet or off the menu. “Super friendly service and impressive kitchen staff made this breakfast a rememberable experience for me and my friends! Normally I don't pay too much attention but on this occasion I noticed how clean the kitchen area was kept as the cook juggled multiple orders by himself. So refreshing to see someone take pride and care in their job serving others ?❤️ . The fluffy omelets at HH are truly the best I've ever had!“

“I recommend Plum’s Restaurant in Beaufort, SC. The food is good quality at reasonable prices. The restaurant has dog-friendly seating in the patio area. The patio area is highly desirable on days of temperate weather. My wife requested the chicken salad plate but it had sold out by 1:00PM. She had the curried chicken salad which she said was excellent. I had the fried shrimp and an appetizer. It was good. The view from the patio was very nice.“
