“Always a nice meal here. Our server Hali was very attentive and helpful. We skipped apps, and our salads were fresh and tasty. My 7oz filet was cooked perfectly (blue, the way I like it, and few restaurants get it right). The risotto was creamy and the broccoli rabe was nicely seasoned and not over cooked. The Cab Franc paired perfectly with my entree. My partner got the swordfish that was also perfectly cooked and well seasoned. The chips and guacamole really didn’t add anything to the dish, however, but it was fine. The dry Riesling was a nice pairing with this. We were seated not too far from the bar area. We forgot about Jazz on the Ally Thursday nights so it was packed and the bar area started to become very loud. Unfortunately there are quite a few privileged people in this area that feel being publicly drunk and obnoxiously loud is acceptable, even in a nicer restaurant. This isn’t the restaurants’ fault but it certainly impacts the quality of the atmosphere. Even Hali offered us a free dessert to make up for the interruption it caused, but we paid for our desserts anyway. We did suggest that there be automatic sliding doors fitted so that the noise could be contained in the bar area leaving the diners to enjoy their meals. Our desserts were also delightful. We had the banana brûlée and strawberry brûlée. Overall it was a very nice meal with very good service (which is hard to come by in this area).”

“I have eaten here many times since 1998 when they were in the old location. The first time we tried the place we were here looking for a lake house to buy and the entire family voted to come back the next night... and the following night. Three meals in three days. Over the years we have gotten to know many of the wait staff and have never had a disappointing meal. We have carried as many as 10 friends over at one time and have always been treated like family. Most of the time it's just the two of us, or maybe us with one couple. Frank I(the owner) s a real live character who we have watched go from a young black haired guy to a grey haired gentleman. We have seen his kids take responsibility and provide excellent service fitting the real NY Italian tradition that Frank brought here from the Empire State. The food is as good as any Italian you will experience. The sauces are fresh, the breads are fresh, the ingredients for every dish are top level... They make their all their sauces, etc fresh in the morning. The only thing they do not make is the pasta, and that's pretty easy to pick up... and a pain to make, so no problem. Expect a bit of a wait if you don't have reservations. There is some seating up front and you will likely have a lot of company to engage with. The place is popular... very popular. They have great desserts too. Obviously made with attention to detail. I love their Tiramisu and think is is the best I have had, period. The menu changes over time, so it's difficult to say what is the best dish. They had a Sicilian Trio of three pasta dishes for a while. If it ever pops up on the menu again, try it. The bar is a fun place to sit and eat if you prefer to eat rather than waiting for a table. They make great drinks, and they have a good wince list. If you see Frank, invite him over for a drink and he will join you if he's not too busy. I used to have a count of how many times we have eaten there... at about 150 I quit counting. Definitely this is the single most popular place on our list. Frank once told me to come by sometime and he would open a nice bottle of wine with me and my wife. We haven't caught him on a quiet night yet, but I'm certain he was serious. I can't say enough nice things about the place. It's great food, super service, casual atmosphere... A perfect "go to" restaurant that is good enough for special occasions and casual enough for an impromptu dinner after a day on the lake. Yes, we did build a lake house as a second home in 1999. After retiring in 2014, we build a second Lake place selling the first place and our home in Atlanta. So now we can eat at Paesano's on a weekday...”

“went june 17th at 630. The food was good. The staff, girls at order desk and server, were rude. They chose to play Big Block jinga with a male patron and stay on their phones instead of doing anything else. after several games of blocks slamming on the table and floor right behind us we asked them to please stop. the male said f' them. They stopped for a while but then started again and they found this funny. These were employees, not patrons. when my friend asked the server why didnt anyone ask if we needed anything or at least ask if everything was okay, her reply was "they weren't that kind of restaurant". this was after WE had to push 2 tables together, wipe the water from the rain off the tables and seats while the employees watched. And after we had spent over $200. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!!! I am not a "Karen " i just expect decent service for my money!!!!”

This was by far the best Mexican food I have had hands down anywhere. There was no doubt that the food and cocktails contained the freshest, not from a jar ingredients. The staff was quick but not pushy and friendly. Our meals were HUGE and I couldn’t believe how reasonable the prices were - I would pay more for less at home in PA. “Where do I even start—this place completely won me over.

I was honestly unsure about it at first because a buddy kept recommending it, but now I end up going there all the time for lunch during the week. The half-and-half combo idea (like a sandwich and soup, or pizza and soup) is actually a genius move. It gives you so many options and makes it easy to mix things up every visit.

Staff is always friendly, food comes out quick, and the seating is comfortable enough to actually sit and enjoy your meal without feeling rushed or cramped.

The raspberry sweet tea deserves its own mention—it’s easily one of the best and most unique teas I’ve ever had. Seriously, it stands out in a big way.

And the cinnamon rolls? Absolute win. Whether you get the bite-sized ones, a regular, or the giant one, you really can’t go wrong there.

On top of that, it’s a great spot if you need to leave business cards or brochures—no hassle, just a relaxed environment.

Overall, this is a solid 10 out of 10 for me. If you haven’t tried it yet, you definitely should.”

My husband loves the she-crab soup. We had to wait a while to be seated and to get our food, but the staff were friendly and apologized for the wait. There is a sign on the door saying max table size is 7, so keep that in mind if you’re planning to come with a group.”

“Everything is always great from here. I did get the potatoe cakes this time and a couple of them had stuck together and was not cooked soggy and cold. They had is and two other cars pulled up though and I think we were all waiting on the same thing.”

“Ok, so our server was amazing. Patient, kind, answered questions, very sweet, attentive to the table, and helpful when an order was egregiously wrong.

Food- it all felt... Pre manufactured. First the pasta was gross. Like gummy. A burger supposed to be well-done came out very unswr-cooked. Literally raw and cold in the middle and the outside was charred. I think the grill has hot spots or was overly hot.

Bartender was on point! Made drinks extremely well.”

“As a wife of an engineer in the Nuclear Power industry I know first hand what it's like to live in a hotel for months on end. Many of his crew works night shift and Jim has been there himself. You get off work at 4 or 5 am and nothing is open. You can't shut your stomach off so you're left with gas station or vending machine food. Very small refrigerators in the hotel rooms so you can't stock up on much other than some deli meat and cheese. Yesterday while visiting my husband on the road, we stopped at one of our favorite places in Seneca The Spot on the Alley. They were closed, or so we thought. Just as we turned to walk away from the locked door a man came and unlocked it. He let us in and explained they were just finishing up a few renovations. He kept apologizing and if we didn't mind them cleaning up they could serve us shortly. He said they were running odd hours due to the outage and decided to get a few things done in between the busy hours. I told him we just wanted to get an appetizer as we already had dinner plans but we were hungry and it would be a few hours before we were able to eat. He served us a big bowl of queso and fresh chips. I ordered a drink from the bar and we sat and talked quietly watching them work to get things put away. So the man came back and handed us a menu and invited us to come back the next morning. Come to find out they open early for the outage workers. The Spot on the Alley opens at 5 am during outage season for night shift to be able to get something hot to eat after a long night of hardwork. I just have to mention how nice I think it is. The man did tell me he only purchased The Spot on the Alley a few months prior. We have so much respect for these little towns who host hundreds of Plant workers a few months out of the year. Not to many businesses take into account the shifts these men and women work and their sacrifices and the odd shifts often times put their good health into question. So thank you for opening early for night shift. Don't know who will see it but here's the menu.”
