“I love this place! Their food is good, and so is the coffee! The place is very eclectic, and I love supporting local businesses, it’s not like anywhere else in travelers rest. I love the artsy feel to it. Definitely recommend for brunch. The servers are really awesome and always are super positive:) def check it “
“Excellent cold brewed coffee with outstanding service . We just stopped to get coffee and saw the reviews. We had to try them. The coffee was excellent no bite smooth and delightful. The staff were so helpful with our 3 under 3 grandchildren. A big shout out to them. They loved the crayons and artsy atmosphere. We will return.“
“Amazing!! The Cortado was perfect my rule of thumb is if a coffee shop can make a perfect Cortado they are approved in my book! They also made my wife an amazing lavender latte!!Also the debit machine wast working and I had no cash so the cashier insisted that she will cover our drinks! So nice!!! Of course we will be back!!“
“Love coming here, a local favourite. Their offerings are very bready in nature so we don’t come here all the time, but every once in awhile. They have breakfast stuff, lunch sandwiches, and bakery sweets but also have hours that go past dinner time, which is sometimes really helpful. Their bakery items are OK but I imagine some people would consider them amazing. We love sitting in their outside patio when the weather is nice. It’s a little shoddy and in need of some updates or renovations though. The tables and chairs look secondhand. The patio wood needs painted or replaced. The side of the building is full of electrical work that seems piecemealed together with no thought to aesthetics, especially with it being on the customers’ side. But, it feels cozy, snug, and in the heart of downtown TR. The outdoor atmosphere feels more like a privately owned hole in the wall rather than a rundown establishment. I think they might even do live music on the weekends. And their garden area by the patio is usually really pretty. One thing I would recommend, outside aesthetics aside, is having more side options to the sandwiches. It has expanded over the years but sometimes choosing between fried oily chips or vegetables as a side isn’t at all appealing.Vegetarian options: There are a few vegetarian options which are clearly labeled“
“Sherry took care of us on a gorgeous April afternoon while we listened to live music. We got a spicy bloody Mary and it was phenomenal! The Aloha Pizza was really great too. It had pulled pork (soooo tender and juicy) and bbq sauce on a wood-fired pizza dough. Will definitely be stopping in again!“
“My husband and I stopped here for breakfast, and we were very glad we did! Grits were creamy, and bacon was perfectly cooked. I'm pretty sure we found our new favorite breakfast spot! I'm looking forward to trying dinner sometime.“
“A wonderfully eclectic menu with a VERY reasonable price point! The servings are large and fresh and delish! I can’t rave enough about their grit cakes and fresh ground coffee. Our server Miriam was flawless. Chasity the manager made us feel like family (and that we were important) and it was our first visit! The Devil as they say is in the details…well, it’s the details they excel at. I honestly could find nothing to complain about. Which is rare. I always find something. Great job! I will return!“
“full disclosure: I used to work here. but that doesn't preclude me from saying that this place has great, inexpensive menu options. if you were ever served by me, you know that I always said "the Sunset and the Chicken Bacon Pepperjack are the most popular, and my favorite is the Midnight!" I plan on visiting on some days off from my new job; I'm addicted to the potato salad, so i have to get my fix!Vegetarian options: they are working to add a few more vegetarian options, and are always able to modify dishes to suit dietary needs!Dietary restrictions: they will do their best to meet your dietary needs and/or restrictions!“
“I love it here. Great stuff, great quality, BUT there is one issue I have and that’s that if you order a coffee or something like it, you’ll be waiting 15+ minutes on your order. If it’s super busy, you’ll be waiting 30 or so minutes.“
“Great food. I had the deluxe BLT on sourdough, which had avocado and an egg. The best sandwich I have had in a long time.Eggs benediction was OK because almost NO hollandaise, the best part. The waitress wasn't good. Tipped her only 15 percent. Slow, waited on salt and pepper, drinks came after we were half way through meal, couldn't get Jelly or refills, check took forever and we asked for a side to hollandaise and that came finally when we found her and asked again after we were almost done eating....and then she charged for it.Anyway. Good food and hopefully you won't get our waitress.“
“We were a party of 9 that came in on mother's day. Our waiter, very tall gentleman, was absolutely fantastic! Our food was delicious and timely. We are a greenville family that has celebrated many milestones at the various Stax establishments. I celebrated my high school graduation (1988) at Stax Peppermill. Thank you guys for a wonderful meal!!“
“Though situated perfectly in a manufactured craftsman community, any other place may feel inauthentic…but for all the innate uppity-ness of high money, lululemon-wearing, Stanley toting, DILK patrons, Chestnut is a real coffee shop and very good one at that. Perfect Americano and every sweet drink is always good.“
“BEST COFFEE SHOP EVAAAA! Not only do they have sweet treats (and gluten free ones), but they also have such good coffee! The plants give me so much serotonin. People are happier when they are at village grind! Do you like plants, coffee, and have immaculate vibes? If you do, I’ll see ya at village grind!“
“Great place for a light bite to eat or a healthy meal.Lots of gluten free and vegan options.Everything is made fresh to order and delicious.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian and Vegan options with plant based meats and vegetable proteinsDietary restrictions: Perfect place for all kinds of dietary restrictions especially gluten and dairyParking: Plenty of parking on the street and in the lotKid-friendliness: Very kid friendly and casual.Wheelchair accessibility: All 1st floor with ADA access and tables that have plenty of room for wheelchairs“
“German Chocolate Reese’s Smoothie is delicious and to know it’s actually good for me. Made my heart & body happy. It helps when I have a busy day, I don’t want to do dishes and don’t have time to go to the grocery store; I got family to take care of first before all that. Haha$16 dollars for me and my son better then grabbing something heavy & not so nutritious for $15-20 for the 2 of us.? thank you!!“
“This place is incredible!! Thought it is heavily Chinese food, it also has Thai, Japanese, Vietnamese, and Laotian influences. I'd go as far to say it is my favorite restaurant in the area, and the best Asian food I've ever had! It is attached to an Asian grocery, and also has a fresh fish market! It can get busy, but we have never had to wait more than 10-15 minutes. The staff here is awesome and collaboratively work hard to provide excellent service to all guests. They have large tables for bigger parties up to 15, for larger family gatherings or an office outing for lunch. The egg roles are crispy, and not greasy and are a must have with a spicy wasabi mustard! The charsue pork which is featured in a variety of dishes is certainly a highlight, and you can get it by the pound to take home for an easy dinner. They have some very authentic dishes and options such as chicken feet and fish balls, to more "Americanized" versions of sesame chicken and general tso's for the non-adventurous pallet. I have yet to try anything here I didn't like, and highly recommend it for your next food venture! Hands down , it is the best!“
“I can not suggest the Kava as I do not have a taste for it, but I definitely suggest the coffee, it was very good and worth every penny. The patrons are quiet, and the atmosphere is very sedate. All in all, I do suggest it for anyone who enjoys a good espresso.“
“Lovely store! The owner was very nice. Lots of cool gifts and food products. I bought some hot sauce, and the owner warned me not to buy the Carolina Reaper as it would burn your tongue. We also got some boiled peanuts, and they were perfect, not mushy but not to firm. Worth a stop if you drive buy.“
“W?W! This place is a hidden gem! We have lived in SC for 10 yrs and today was our first (but NOT last) visit to Tigerville Cafe! The atmosphere is friendly & welcoming. The food is very good and the presentation is very appealing. We definitely found our new breakfast place and will have to come back and try lunch & dinner! ???“
“Did not have much left past lunch. Food is okay but maybe not worth the price point. Sugar free brownie was good. Chicken salad as well. Ruben was overcooked. They left it there just cooking while they were cleaning and getting ready to close.“
“It was our first time there. You go in, pre-order food, and find a place to enjoy your meal. You can also get a good selection of ICE COLD BEER. When we got our hot food, it was awesome BBQ. We got the pulled pork plates, with Mac and cheese, coleslaw, sweet potatoes, and mmm good. We can't wait to go back. Parking will be a little tight, but will be worth it. The prices were reasonable.“
“Methodical Coffee in the Commons is such a terrific place to enjoy a coffee and treat on a beautiful day. They also offer a unique service where they will personalize a bag of coffee for a special occasion. I purchased a coffee grinder for a bridal shower gift and wanted to add something extra for the special couple. I found this service on their website and it turned out so nice! Can't wait to give them this unique gift!!“
“Staff was VERY friendly and accommodating to my food restrictions. They were generous in helping me adjust my order to my dietary restrictions and went out of their way to make sure I could still enjoy my meal. (Grain free) I loved the chia pudding (+ banana, honey, walnut, almond butter) and my Cafe au lait was yummy too. The atmosphere was cute, casual and cozy. Parking was abundant, easy and close. Nice touch: diapers in the bathroom for the mamas!“
“First time at Tandem. Lunch with old friends. I had the savory Club crêpe. I will definitely return to try out their sweet crêpes. Convenient to the Swamp Rabbit Trail, so there are a lot of hikers and cyclists there for lunch.March 20, 2024. Met friends and had the sausage potato crepe. Delicious.“
