“I love this place! Their food is good, and so is the coffee! The place is very eclectic, and I love supporting local businesses, it’s not like anywhere else in travelers rest. The staff were so helpful with our 3 under 3 grandchildren. A big shout out to them. They loved the crayons and artsy atmosphere. We will return.“
“Amazing!! The Cortado was perfect my rule of thumb is if a coffee shop can make a perfect Cortado they are approved in my book! “Love coming here, a local favourite. Their offerings are very bready in nature so we don’t come here all the time, but every once in awhile. They have breakfast stuff, lunch sandwiches, and bakery sweets but also have hours that go past dinner time, which is sometimes really helpful. Their bakery items are OK but I imagine some people would consider them amazing.We love sitting in their outside patio when the weather is nice. It’s a little shoddy and in need of some updates or renovations though. The tables and chairs look secondhand. The patio wood needs painted or replaced. The side of the building is full of electrical work that seems piecemealed together with no thought to aesthetics, especially with it being on the customers’ side. But, it feels cozy, snug, and in the heart of downtown TR. The outdoor atmosphere feels more like a privately owned hole in the wall rather than a rundown establishment. I think they might even do live music on the weekends. And their garden area by the patio is usually really pretty.One thing I would recommend, outside aesthetics aside, is having more side options to the sandwiches. “Sherry took care of us on a gorgeous April afternoon while we listened to live music. We got a spicy bloody Mary and it was phenomenal! The Aloha Pizza was really great too. It had pulled pork (soooo tender and juicy) and bbq sauce on a wood-fired pizza dough. Will definitely be stopping in again!“

“Great food. I had the deluxe BLT on sourdough, which had avocado and an egg. The best sandwich I have had in a long time.Eggs benediction was OK because almost NO hollandaise, the best part.The waitress wasn't good. Tipped her only 15 percent. Slow, waited on salt and pepper, drinks came after we were half way through meal, couldn't get Jelly or refills, check took forever and we asked for a side to hollandaise and that came finally when we found her and asked again after we were almost done eating....and then she charged for it.Anyway. Good food and hopefully you won't get our waitress.“

We are a greenville family that has celebrated many milestones at the various Stax establishments. I celebrated my high school graduation (1988) at Stax Peppermill. “This place is incredible!! Thought it is heavily Chinese food, it also has Thai, Japanese, Vietnamese, and Laotian influences. I'd go as far to say it is my favorite restaurant in the area, and the best Asian food I've ever had! It is attached to an Asian grocery, and also has a fresh fish market! It can get busy, but we have never had to wait more than 10-15 minutes. The staff here is awesome and collaboratively work hard to provide excellent service to all guests. They have large tables for bigger parties up to 15, for larger family gatherings or an office outing for lunch. The egg roles are crispy, and not greasy and are a must have with a spicy wasabi mustard! The charsue pork which is featured in a variety of dishes is certainly a highlight, and you can get it by the pound to take home for an easy dinner. They have some very authentic dishes and options such as chicken feet and fish balls, to more "Americanized" versions of sesame chicken and general tso's for the non-adventurous pallet. I have yet to try anything here I didn't like, and highly recommend it for your next food venture! Hands down , it is the best!“
“I can not suggest the Kava as I do not have a taste for it, but I definitely suggest the coffee, it was very good and worth every penny. The patrons are quiet, and the atmosphere is very sedate. All in all, I do suggest it for anyone who enjoys a good espresso.“

“It was our first time there. You go in, pre-order food, and find a place to enjoy your meal. You can also get a good selection of ICE COLD BEER. When we got our hot food, it was awesome BBQ. We got the pulled pork plates, with Mac and cheese, coleslaw, sweet potatoes, and mmm good. We can't wait to go back. Parking will be a little tight, but will be worth it.
