Went here for breakfast while we were in the area. I would rank this as one of the top three best breakfasts I have ever had:) Country fried steak and hash browns, with two eggs over easy. Every part of this was cooked perfectly, the hash browns crispy, the eggs done just right. The place was very busy and small, but if I lived near Brookings, I would be a regular in this place:) the service was quick and pleasant, it was a great small town experience, we felt right at home.

Yum! Fast, friendly service and home-style cooking at its finest. Great prices, too!Dietary restrictions: If you need to avoid gluten/flour-based foods, I don't think there are any claims of gf options here. That said, personally I'm always fine when I stick with their yummy eggs and meat options. If you need food that's prepared separately from gluten food, you'll need to ask if that's an option. Also, I think the sour dough bread is sour dough flavored as opposed to the differently processed kind that some of us gf peeps get to enjoy.

Neither the gravey or potatoes homemade. Pancake sucked. Hashbrowns and eggs were good.

Exactly where to go when you want that small town diner/cafe experience. Wait staff was excellent-friendly and quick. It was packed there, but we were seated and got our food in a very short time. Prices are decent as well.

Excellent food, a must eat place in Brookings! Somehow I had missed this on previous trips to Brookings, but woooow. We ate there two days in a row. Adorable small diner feel, super friendly staff and out of this world food! 10/10 would recommend and will return! ? our group had a mixture of breakfast and lunch foods and it was all delish….. eggs and sausage, burgers, salads and open face roast beef, all excellent!

The food here is phenomenal and the price is right. The place is small and everything I have been there you must wait outside for a table. The service is good but they need more wait staff. The 2 cooks they have do a wonderful job and when I go I always tip them.
