“There were 5 of us, and it was everyone's first time. It didn't disappoint and thank you for being open on president's day when no where else was. I 100% recommend this place. The coffees were made just as we all ordered, and the paninis were sooo good!! Both of the woman working were helpful and patient with us as we tried to figure out what to order.“
“The blacken trout was wonderful!!! And the garlic potatoes were out of the world!!! Now we are enjoying the most delicious warm apple pie and hot cocoa and Bailey's!!! What a delightful experience Oh and the service was incredible!!!“
“We went at the end of the off season. The food was fantastic, but slow and it felt a bit high priced. We left stuffed.Know before going that they only take cash or checks, and they do have an ATM on premises.Kid-friendliness: No official kids menu but the waitress did offer a kid's burger and fries meal, or a kids grilled cheese and fries meal.“
“We just stopped by to check it out and the first thing I noticed was how clean and tidy it was. The staff was very helpful and easy to talk with. We didn't look at the cabins but I'm pretty sure they're fine. They rent snowmobiles.“
“A very cool little ice cream shop with a little bit of old school charm. Fantastic home made ice cream with a flavor for all. On top of that homemade Waffle cones that are nothing short of perfection . Seriously the Lemon poppy seed is intoxicatingly delicious!! It's a guaranteed stop on our next Spearfish trip!“
“Amazing food and beautiful restaurant. The server clearly hated us though and that's ok. We were drunk and celebrating life. It's been 15 years since we all seen eachother. But maybe have another server around that will deal with a table they don't want to serve.Had the Tomahawk, I'd recommend.“
“I loved the atmosphere! Our waitress was really great at keeping our drinks full! Everyone enjoyed their food! The garlic cheese curds are to die for!2 out if the 3 of us got fries and disliked how under cooked them seemed. My spouse had a burger and said it was the best he's had!“
“I went to Mystic Hills for a wine painting class they held. I had never been here and I was highly impressed! The owners and staff were extremely friendly and responsive to all of us ( there were probably 30 people or so.) It looks like a really sweet place to stay and their food and drinks were tasty and decently priced. It's tucked away in the hills and even though it was dark, I could tell the views were gorgeous. Will definitely be checking it out again next summer.“
“Wow. Just wow. This place is amazing and much needed! The food was top notch! Best food I’ve had in the hills. Love it! Not like all the same old worn out steak houses/burger joints in the area. I highly recommend if you are in search of something off the beaten path.“
“I have to say this was an incredible experience. We had the Hot Beef Sandwich. It was off the hook delicious. I have been traveling for 35 years with my work and like to try Hot Beef Sandwiches at small town restaurants and cafes. This is the best ever in my travels. From the smooth mashed potatoes to the homemade bread and marinated tender roast beef. This sandwich was smothered in a perfect flavor and consistency brown beef gravy ever. Loved the meal and service was very efficient too. Large portion for the reasonable cost. I can't say enough.“
“I always enjoy going to Bullwackers- the food is amazing (so many homemade options!), the bartenders are fun and friendly (Taylor is my fave!), and the new owners are so good at making everyone feel welcome. Definitely one of my favorite restaurants in the Black Hills!“
“The Lodge at Deadwood was able to accommodate our large group as we held a conference last week. The staff was very courteous and knowledgeable, even when the whole town lost power the backup generators kicked on and the staff seemed to have a handle on the situation.“
“Fantastic food and service! We were in the mood for scallops, so we started off with the sautéed scallop appetizer. Cooked to perfection! All of the main dishes sounded excellent, but we must have been in a pasta mood because we chose the beef stroganoff and the mushroom ragu. They were both excellent, and as a personal preference, we both thought the ragu was the better of the two. If you're a bourbon connoisseur, they currently have a hand selected barrel of Jack Daniel's that can be purchased by the glass or by the bottle!“
“We went in at around 11 a m, we got seated very quickly and to my surprise got served just as quickly! The food was hot, filling, and priced as it should be. There were 3 adults and 2 kids and we spent less than 65 bucks which is amazing! Our waitress was friendly, patient and knowledgeable of the menu items. We will for sure visit this location again.“
“We had our son’s wedding rehearsal dinner at The Clubhouse. The owner and the staff were absolutely wonderful to work with. We rented all four bays and everybody that attended had an absolute blast. We couldn’t have asked for more.Troy and Gayle Roth“
“Y’all. I’ve lived in SD for 4 months now and this is hands down the best food I’ve had out. I moved from Dallas and this place feels like home. I had the “Not Your Granny’s Grilled Cheese” with their house fries and had to stop myself from eating it all so I didn’t overeat. My mom had the Citrus Marinated Shrimp with the caprese salad and had every single last drop. We came at a really slow time but service was still great!! Sadly no more buffalo cauliflower though.Vegetarian options: There’s more than one option that’s vegetarian in each section and plenty that can easily be made vegetarian!Kid-friendliness: They have an open, colorful, and clean environment with special kid friendly nights and dishes.“
“Awesome little cafe for a “just like moms cooking” breakfast. Very casual atmosphere, with food even served on paper plates! We had breakfast here on a slow Tuesday morning, so our waitress was also our hostess and also our chef. Jack of all trades! The servings were large and just what we wanted.Definitely recommend for an easy casual simple breakfast.“
“Always love and appreciate Culvers! On this visit I was caught off guard by how many young people were standing behind the counter and the extended time it took them to make my turtle sundae. Hey, I had no place to be, so no worries, but it was an uncommon experience for Culvers. I'm sure next time they will be hitting on all cylinders again. No hesitation, I'll be back! They always do great.“
“Stopped in last weekend for lunch, and we're not disappointed. The food was great compared to the last time, which reminded us why we love coming here. Everyone tends to have an off day, and we were glad we came back. The staff who waited on us seemed a little irritated by us asking g for things or if they could wait, but overall seemed nice and attentive. We will definitely come back when we are back in Deadwood for sure.“
“I’ve stayed here twice. The first time was perfect. The second time was not so good. The person at the front desk had trouble checking me in, the safety latch to my door pulls away from the door frame because it’s only attached to the trim, and my TV is so crooked that it looks like they were drunk when they mounted it to the wall.“
“Went here for lunch today. Nice atmosphere and a friendly waitress. I ordered the special with was prime sliders with fries & a drink. The sliders were fabulous but the fries left quite a bit to be desired. On the plus side it wasn't overly expensive it was filling.“
“Really good food and the nicest service. They are pretty fast even on a busy Sunday morning. I've stopped a few times and it's always good. This last weekend we really enjoyed our visit and the good food and service. It's a great team you have working there.“
“This place was perfect for us when heading back from Spearfish Canyon Bypass. It is on the Main Street of Deadwood. We traveled w a pup and she could sat with us inside. Clean and friendly place. Our server was great. Connected to Starbucks and a casino if you are interested in those place. Highly recommend if you have a dog and want to eat indoors. AVOID the Rapid City version as horrible there service wise and of you arent lpcal, they'll ignore you.“
“We eat here every visit to the Black Hills. My wife absolutely devours the "stadium beef tips" - always excellent. The recipe is exactly prepared like the beef tips served at The Rancher in St. Onge back in the 60s and 70s. Stadium has kept this tasty true to tradition. The Spearfish location is a typical sports bar atmosphere, yet the beef tips are world class steak house quality. Well done!“
“Ahhh Mustang Sally's. What can I say? It's my latest foodie crush! Ordered their fish and chips the other night. I was thrilled by the portion size and delighted with the golden color of the battered fish. It was perfect. The batter was snappy. The fish was flakey and moist. 1st bite was heaven. Batter, fish, salt and cocktail sauce. Simply perfect.“
“Absolutely delicious food highly recommended! Everything we had was spectacular, amazing selection, great portions, even the kids were happy with everything. It's a great rustic atmosphere, beautiful inside, our server was the best, he made the whole experience even more amazing. Can't wait to go back to try more of their incredible food!Kid-friendliness: Amazing kids menu, not your typical selection which can get old for the kiddos. Entree, side, fruit and ice cream for $6.99!!“
“This is the best restaurant to get a real Indian Taco and all kinds of other fresh foods. It’s in a great location, friendly atmosphere, and reasonable prices. Try times that are a little off, like just before lunch time or after because it’s busy. I love Cheyenne Crossing, the history of the place, the staff and the food!“
