Should have went to Perkins for Easter. Only reason we didn't was because granite city is one of the few places who takes reservations on Easter. The food was ok. Heavily salted. The service was the issue. I asked my waiter if we can pay as we were ready to leave he says give me 2 minutes and goes and takesa drink order from a table of 12 or 15 as im sure he saw dollar signs. $150 for 4 for brunch including drinks and tips for that experience and food is a complete rip off.

Sat in the bar area first and service was not good as nobody else was sitting in the area. Moved to the dining area and the waitress did a good job. Food was not the best. Place seems to be going down hill and didn't look that clean either.

This is my third visit to have a burger, and I would definitely say this not the place for one. My order was a million burger, the bacon was overcooked almost too hard to chew and blan, I ordered medium rare I received well done. There was no other condiment on it, overall my shoe with have tasted better. The brussel sprouts were soaked in a burnt, greasy reduction which tasted like motor oil. This place is is definitely one to avoid

Worst wait staff I have ever encountered. Our party of 4 adults was seated and then completely ignored. At 20 minutes 2 of us had salads, at 45 minutes another got their entree but not their salad and at 1 hour I got half my order. No explanation, no apology, just sullen indifference. No drink refills ever offered. The waitress rolled her eyes, huffed, looked at the ceiling, as though we were interrupting her day. After 1 hour I demanded a manager, and we got 3! They gave us the old trouble in the kitchen excuse, and comped us the entire meal. I can’t say anything about my food, by the time I got it I had lost my appetite. In case you want to check, this occurred Dec 20, 2023, lunch. If I could give fewer stars I would. Note to management: don’t bother with the”thoughts and prayers” fluff. You run a lousy establishment and deserve to be out of business.
This hasn't been our first poor experience but wanted to give GC another shot. We had reservations and had to still wait for our table anyways. Then we sat for 10 minutes before someone greeted us for drink order. It then took another several minutes for drinks to arrive. However our food arrived very quickly! The final disappointment was waiting 30 minutes for our check to arrive. We love the food at Granite City but with service like this, it will be a while before we return.

Brunch is very good. Not overwhelming, it's the perfect combination good wise and choice. I love the sausages, they are the closest to British sausages I've found in the US. Those alone are why we will keep returning. Staff is always friendly, positive and in tune with the clientele.

One of the best Bock beers I’ve had!! The wings were perfectly cooked, crispy outside tender inside. I tried both dry rubs on the wings, no notable heat on the spice but great flavor. The blue cheese dressing appeared to be made in house and had a mild but delicious blue cheese flavor.

I brought a family of 8 for brunch for my 50th birthday. Almost everything was perfect. The 1 and only suggestion would be to wait to bring the caramel rolls to the table once the entire party arrives. My parents like to always be early for everything. They showed up early and were sat 20/30 minutes prior to our 10:00 am reservation. The server brought the rolls out shortly after my folks sat down. By the time 10am hit and the remaining party arrived the rolls were rock hard. Disappointing and such a waste as nobody could eat them. Otherwise the food was hot, always refilled and taste great.
