It is always my priority to visit Queen City when in Sioux Falls. When I walk in I can talk bikes with Mitch while my state of the art americano is being made then I can move on to watch chef perfect her craft through a viewing glass in the kitchen. Hands down the best pastries in South Dakota. Fill up a to go box with one of everything…you won’t be disappointed!

I will often visit and work from coffee shops in town and Queen City Bakery ranks at the top. The atmosphere is amazing and food and staff are top notch! It’s very cozy and in a great spot downtown with plenty of parking options. I love working from this spot or meeting with friends or clients. It can get a bit busy here since they don’t have as long of hours and more people are realizing how great this spot is but it is still worth your visit and I highly recommend this cafe.

Although the food & coffee at Queen City is amazing, I’m giving them a 3/5 solely due to customer service. Last fall, I visited with my sister. It was late afternoon on a Saturday, and they weren't busy at all. I was met with a very cold & annoyed barista who treated us like we were nuisances for being there. I tried not to let her poor attitude get to me since everyone has bad days, & I like to give stores second chances. However, I went back again yesterday to grab a coffee & food to-go to celebrate my birthday. I went at 10am on a Saturday, so they were much busier, but the line was moving quickly. The customer service I received was even worse this time. The barista kept asking “what else?” in an annoyed tone every time I added something onto my order, and he spoke to me like I’d personally wronged him. I’m a very easy & forgiving customer. As someone with social anxiety, I always make sure to order quickly & efficiently when there’s long lines, and I always speak kindly & with a smile. To be met with hostility from the baristas on two different occasions makes me question the culture that’s been created at Queen City. Even though the food & decor is terrific, it’s not worth it to feel belittled & talked down to, especially on my own birthday. Based on some of the reviews I’ve read, I’m not the first person to receive this treatment. I seriously hope the managers look into their customer service & do some reflection, because if that’s the only thing keeping customers from returning, it feels like a waste of a good bakery.

Wonderful spacious local casual cafe in downtown Sioux Falls. Coffee is very good, quiche is amazing. I don’t cake that often but when I had in the past if was wonderful. It has wonderful vibes. It can get busy weekend mornings but you’ll always find a place to sit. Plenty of free parking is in the back so look for parking

Why haven't you been here yet? Why haven't you eaten some of the heavenly creations? Why haven't you supported this amazing family? Why haven't you sat down with a friend over coffee and a souffle and caught up?You need to remedy that soon.Sioux Falls is blessed to have this gem. The best baked goods in town and really it's not even close.Get a box with one of everything. Share with friends. Then go back and do it again.

Great little bakery and they had good coffee. I had to go but the place looks nice enough to sit for a bit and enjoy your meal. Will come back.Parking: It’s behind the building kind of tucked away. I am sure it gets full in the summer but in the fall I had no problem in the morning finding a spot.

Queen City is one of those places that makes me grateful to live in Sioux Falls. An incredibly aesthetic interior and plenty of seating makes it a go to for me when I’m meeting a friend or need to get some work done. I will almost never pass up getting a quiche while I’m there, and their matcha latte passes my very specific matcha specifications. ?My only complaint is that they are only open till 2. That’s just doesn’t give me enough time to enjoy it as much as I would like. ?

I recently ordered two all cherry pies for the holidays. The day I picked them up was the first time I saw the pies I received. I was disappointed based off of appearance and size considering each pie cost $35.00. Then the true test came when my family and I feasted for Thanksgiving. EVERY BITE, of that pie was priceless. It wasn't similar to any cherry pie I've tried before, and made me believe perhaps the cherry pies I had before weren't cherry at all. Ps. The pie didn't even make it to Thanksgiving day.

The Spinach, Swiss, bacon quiche was incredible! Buttery, flaky crust It's definitely a busy place, very loud, and lots of family/group meetings. Not great for getting work done. I was bummed that they didn't offer decaf coffee. I got an 8oz. Cappuccino and the milk texture was heavenly! The coffee was a bit burnt, but overall still an excellent cappuccino! Service was quick, but not the friendliest. Which is to be understood considering the line of people.

We stopped by for a coffee after visiting the Sioux Falls and was pleasantly surprised and throughly impressed. The bakery had a lot of variety (though more for the sweet tooth, not as much for the savory ones). I had a hard time choosing amongst the cheesecake, cream pie, pecan pie, lemon bar, etc. Finally, chose the lemon bar and loved it. My husband got himself a dark chocolate bread pudding and enjoyed it too. Oh, and it was $4 each - extremely reasonable for freshly prepared bakery goods! The service was friendly. The setup was excellent - high ceilings, day light pouring in, spacious interiors, relaxing music. Many others were "working from home" from the cafe too.
