“Having tried just about everything on the menu & countless daily specials--I can say this place truly never misses. Delicious flavor & texture combinations, lively environment, and extremely attentive & kind staff, making every visit enjoyable. The value for the generous size of the sandwiches is exceptional. Highly recommend the Hamma Mia or a classic salted pretzel with their pimento cheese dip! PS fatbelly if you're reading this, PLEASE bring back the midsommar sandwich that had peaches and whipped feta on it summer 2024“

“We were traveling through Nashville and wanted to grab a quick sandwich. On our way into town. I started researching and saw the reviews for this place. I am so glad I did. The food was fantastic and people who worked there were so nice and its location inside the cool building with museum, distilleries and shops, was an unexpected bonus.“

“Had our first dine in experience at Big Al’s today. The food was delicious with generous portions and very well seasoned. Seating is limited so either plan to go in earlier or be patient. AJ was super knowledgeable of the menu and Chef D was very friendly. Al himself came by the table before we left. We tried the fried chicken sandwich, fried catfish, turnip greens and skillet beans.“

“First off - really love the owners and management staff. They’re always so incredibly polite and helpful when I go in.I’m a big breakfast fan of this place. Love their homemade English muffins. Highly recco you take advantage of that plus their homemade cured Canadian bacon and recreate a McDonalds Egg McMuffin here…. Trrrrrrrrrrrust me!Oh - and the prices are reasonable. And the choco chip cookie to die for.“

“I have a lot of favorite Vegan Junk Food Joints and Be Hive is my most favorite of favorites. Cozy, tiny spot - very few seats but I’ve always gotten lucky and had a place to sit and eat. The sandwiches/fried chiggin are technically not vegan because of the human suffering caused to me by any moment I’m not actively having one in my mouth. Cookies!!!! They have a nice lil grocery selection and a fridge full of tasty drinks and buchas. The milkshakes are !!!!We live more than a hour from Nashville and will drive over just for Be Hive and ~whatever imaginary thing~ justifies the trip. But if you’re not local and not a psycho, you can order their meats online and try to make your own deli sandwiches at home.“
