We love Sling Shot Charlie’s! So DELICIOUS!! I had the catfish fillet, purple hull peas, and onion rings. The onion rings? Melt-in-your-mouth deliciousness! Purple hull peas? Just like my grandmother’s! Yummy! Catfish fillet? Perfection! Only thing I didn’t care for were the hush puppies. They just didn’t have any flavor. They were big and well cooked. Others in our group had the pork tenderloin and said it was tender, juicy, flavorful, and delicious. The Mac and cheese were very cheesy too. (My BIL and SIL loved them.)Kid-friendliness: Lots of kids and kid friendly menu items.

I had the best smoked ribs that I've ever had in my life today. I couldn't believe these were baby back either as they had lots of meat on the bones and almost no fat and gristle. I'm not much of a sauce guy on ribs but I took a chance today because the pictures looked so good. I'm so glad I did. The ribs had a smokey, slightly spicy, very sweet taste with the sauce on them. Don't drink sweet tea with your ribs like I did. It was perfect tea but the sweetness of the ribs eventually made the tea taste more unsweetened than sweet. I will drink a coke next time. Gravy on mashed potatoes to die for!

Absolutely the best southern home cooked food in the mid south! They have the best vegetables and entrees. I eat here regularly, and this is the first place I bring visitors. Everything is good here and reasonably priced. The best fried green tomatoes you can get - anywhere! And the best fried chicken fingers! The folks are wonderful here too! Worth the drive I promise!
