“Very possibly the best Indian cuisine in the Nashville area as it compares favorably with similarly priced Indian even in NYC! Decor is clean if not a bit sterile. There is a heavy Indian presence in Cool Springs with multiple restaurants catering to Indian nationals. However many mentioned Amaravati in Brentwood as the best and we agree. Let the waiters guide you on dishes and spice level based on your preferences as they are knowledgeable.“
“This is my favorite Indian restaurant in Nashville! The food is always delicious and sooo tasty. Jivian and Selly are both friendly, attentive, and caring. The Chef was very kind and thanked us for dining at the restaurant. Our favorite dish is the mushroom masala. It is incredibly good!!!! Can’t wait to go back!!!!“
“Having had many of the typical "Best Indian Food In Nashville" spots, this beat them all. The food was incredible. We had the chicken kadai, butter chicken, and the daal makhani (which if you've never had, do yourself a favor and get it from here!). The garlic naan was also great. Service was great, our waiter gave us great recs. We'll certainly be back!“
“Definitely recommend coming to this location if you’re looking for great food! My wife and I can’t wait to come back! Look below to see what we got:Appetizer: Dahi PuriEntrees: Chicken Kadai (Medium) with Roti & Boil Egg Kheemo (Medium) with BreadDrink: Mango Laasi“
“From the moment we stepped in this restaurant, our party of 8 received excellent service. The serving staff was friendly and very helpful in explaining different menu items. The food was amazing. Every dish our group ordered was thoroughly enjoyed. We will be back soon!“
“Ok, to start, I’m still smiling about my dining experience at House of India. I met my work team there for dinner, coming in right on time to enjoy the SAMOSAS and GARLIC NAAN, which are two of favorites. It’s like my team knew what I wanted without having to ask.Since they had also ordered drinks, I chose to with a MANGO LASSI, which was a dream!! Refreshing, balanced and the perfect prelude to a glorious dinner. For my main, I had the GOAT BIRYANI and let me tell you…! The spices and flavors were so well balanced, each complimenting the other. I fell in love. I was ready to give the Chef my number, it tasted so good. That with the RAITA and a side of MANGO CHUTNEY…what more could I ask for? Oh, right, an order of the KASHMIRI NAAN to take home along with the other half of my food I was too full to finish there. I did save room for the KHEER, a basmati rice pudding flavored with almonds and pistachios. If I wasn’t so stuffed, I might have floated away. The Staff and Management were absolutely PHENOMENAL, as well! They joked with us, recommended all the right fixings around our orders while ensuring we were fully accommodated. It was a joy and pleasure to dine there and we all look forward to returning on our next work trip back to Franklin.Do yourselves a favor and get to HOUSE OF INDIA, as soon as you can! It is so delicious and so worth it! And if you happen to see me there, don’t stare, say hi and snap a photo, in case I forget to. :)*This is a time when I was so lovestruck by the meal and caught up in conversation that I did not get photos. So a next time is certain, to redeem myself.“
“Went for the first time today. The interior is nice. The chairs are comfortable. The service was excellent. The food - oh the food. I got the lunch special, which is pictured. It came with 9 different items (starting in the bottom left, clockwise): Naan (probably the best plain Naan I have ever eaten), Jasmine rice, Chicken Tandoor (talk about a flavor explosion, this was so so good), Vegetable Pakora (i think, veg fritters, really good)), House Salad (their dressing was really good), Chicken Tikka Masala (reliable favorite of mine, they prepared it really well), Chilly Chicken (first time I've had this, and I was impressed.) Potato Masala (i think, another first for me. So Freaking Good), and not pictured Gulab Jamun (dough balls in syrup). The price for 2 lunch specials and a coke was only $36.06. For me, it was enough food for 2 meals. In conclusion, run, don't walk, to Sindoore. It is taste bud heaven.“
“Delicious and vegan friendly! The staff was very helpful and accommodating with our questions. Clearly labeled vegan items on the menu except for the base choices. To start, you can choose from a bowl (easy to make vegan), Kathi Roll (vegan), Naani (not vegan) or salad (vegan). Verified by asking the staff.Chickpeas are the only vegan protein option. However the majority of their sauces are vegan. We liked the sweet chili, mint (chutney), tamarind and mango habanero. The samosa bombs (vegan and made fresh when ordered) were delicious.Hibiscus tea was refreshing but borderline could have used more flavor.Dietary restrictions: Clearly labeled vegan options“
“We have been a few times before, but wanted to write another review for last nights visit. Everything was perfection- from the food to the service! We ordered the whipped paneer with a side of papadum, Nashville hot veggie pakora, and the pork shank with Tandoori sauce. Both had incredible depth of flavor! The server was wonderful- his name is Mort. He was working hard, had quite a few tables, but still managed to make us feel seen and taken care of, his kindness was memorable! Thanks for another great visit! Forever our favorite Nashville spot!“
“Insanely great food, great service, love how they almost always have Bollywood music playing on the TV in the dinning room. Deserts are spectacular, love that they change them up frequently. Would highly recommend to anyone in the area looking for great Indian food.Vegetarian options: Multiple vegetarian curry, appetizer, and entree options I would eat here everyday if I could afford it.“
“I swear, Kalooriville is holding my mental state together. Not even just great Indian food, but GREAT food in general. I literally cannot get enough. And the staff is so personable, they recognize me at this point. Also, wicked fast service. I have never had to wait more than 10 minutes and never, not once, have I had anything to complain about. From the naan to the curry to the biryani to the assorted savory puffs to the mango smoothies, EVERYTHING is to die for.“
“Everything we tried we really liked. This was our third visit and it’s always been good. We started with our waiters recommendation for samosa with samosa chat. It is a fried pastry filled with some sort of starch vegetable like chickpea or potato. It had yogurt and sweet and spicy Tamarind sauce. It was excellent. Then we ordered our favorite butter chicken. It’s mild curried boneless chicken in a flavorful butter curried sauce. It came with a beautifully prepared light rice and a jalapeño, tomato and cilantro finely chopped side dish. It was not only excellent but you get a lot for your money! We had really good experience. For dessert we had their warm rice pudding that everyone loved. Delicious.“
“Ate lunch at Surati for the first time today, and it definitely will not be the last! I ordered the tiffin and every item was delicious! all the dishes were flavorful and just spicy enough. the chapatis were freshly made and piping hot, and I was especially glad to have enough bread to mop up every last drop on the plate. thank you so much, staff! I look forward to seeing you again!“
“Good lunch buffet, mild to medium not too spicy. The variety is not as much as the other Indian lunch buffet’s I’ve been to.. some of the items were warmish not hot. The price is really good though. Not as expensive as the others in town.“
“I have been coming here for years and I’ve never had a bad experience!! If I had to pick a last meal, it would be from here!! Seriously soo good! The quality is incredible and it is always so fresh! The workers are just as great. Everyone is so nice and attentive. I came on National Women’s day and they gave me a rose. Seriously so thoughtful couldn’t recommend it more!!! ?“
“This place does have the best Indian food. The chef even came out to ask if we liked the food. The garlic naan is 100% awesomely addictive and gluten free. Also huge thanks to the waiter for being so polite and respectful to me and my wife.“
“10/10 restaurant! The food was absolutely astounding. Countless flavors danced in my mouth. My man Firoz provided an excellent recommendation in the Chicken Karahi and supremely attentive service as a waiter. There was nothing that he could have done better. He deserves a raise.“
