“I’ve only been into this establishment twice and although I was irritated because I was unable to place a call in order so that I could walk in and grab my order, pay and then walk out, I understood that the server was by herself both times.
She completely made up for it all because she was a very kind and professional lady and I was not only impressed with her work ethic but also equally impressed at the fact that although she was overwhelmed she pushed through it all and was a server and a cook that made things happen for the customers.
This woman deserves not only a raise but also some sort of recognition from the company because it isn’t her fault that nobody wants to come to work.
Keep up the good work whatever your name is. I will be back just to see her in action again because she completely knocked it out of the ball park both times that I’ve been into this establishment.”

“Stood at the counter for 18 minutes. I was the only one inside. Two people running the window with 2 cars in line that had already ordered. I had decided to give them 20 minutes then I was going to leave. 18 minutes in someone walking by finally noticed me and came to take my order. She was not pleasant at all and acted like I was a bother. She never smiled or greeted me. All she said was what you want. I gave her my order. The order took no time at all to get ( like less than a minute). She handed me my order never said a word, turned and went to the back. I don't know if she was having a bad day or if that is her personality, but if you are going to be working with the public you have to put things away and be polite to your customers. I know because I work with the public.

“We first encountered Uncle Larry's at a UTC game (food truck) a couple of years ago, so we wanted to try it again. I went to the E Brainerd location and placed a take-out order when I arrived. All of the staff I encountered were so nice and even gave me a sample of one of the desserts before I ordered it. I ordered two catfish plates, one order of fried green tomatoes, a slice of key lime pie, and a slice of cinnacrack cake. Oh my goodness, ALL of it was so good and so filling! The catfish filets didn't need any hot sauce or tartar, they were just wonderfully flavored. And the desserts? Amazing! We will absolutely be back.”

“Good night, y'all! The food here is GOOD! We had the Crab Cakes and the French Creole Pasta. The seasoning and sauce is where it's at. The crab cakes on top of the dirty rice with collards was so flavorful and delicious. And the seafood to penne to sauce on the pasta dish was spot on. I spooned up as much sauce as I could once the rest was gone. The chef brought out our dinner and then later the bread pudding. I've been curious about N'Awlins bread pudding, and this was a great introduction! The dish was 4 fried dough balls dusted with powdered suger served in a little iron skillet. The flavor that night was blueberry--so yummy! Thanks, y'all!”

Wasn’t sure about it not knowing the area but when we saw how cute and clean it was we decided to try it. Best decision we could’ve made. I got my chef salad which was the best I ever had. Hubby had turkey sandwich and son had pizza and shake. Everything so AWESOME!!! The owner and chef came over to chat with us. We started with the fried green tomatoes with pimento cheese and the award winning wings. They were some of the best wings we have ever had. Perfectly seasoned and double fried. My fiancé had the 1885 Burger and I chose the lightly battered and fried flounder with a side of mac and cheese. His burger looked and tasted amazing. It was a big and juicy burger cooked a perfect medium temp. My flounder we absolutely delicious. So light and fresh. The Mac and cheese was real Mac and cheese. Very creamy and baked with bread crumbs on top. We also really enjoyed cocktails and agree we would give the 1885 grill 5 Stars!”

I was glad that I grabbed some of your baked goods, and so far, we have devoured the HUGE ginger snap cookie!!! The sign out front advertised a $108 Mother’s Day special but when my parents went to order it they were told that it wasn’t available tonight. It was a typo on the board. 2. My sister, who is on a keto diet, ordered the 88 salad only to be told that they were out of salad. 3. After our dinner, my brother-in-law ordered a piece of key lime pie for my mom but once again we were told that they were out of key lime! So as great as the food is, and it was delicious, management really needs to get a better grip on what is in stock and what needs to be ordered especially on a holiday weekend!! I ordered 2 al pastor tacos and the seasoning was just right.. not too overpowering..Homemade tortillas were heaven..they were a light consistency ... It was like eating a cloud taco 💯 amazing..I got a red salsa($picy on the tongue🔥🔥) but I like it hot. Green salsa had a nice mild flavor. They take phone, take out and sit down orders. I really liked and enjoyed the taqueria vibe and decor. Hey if you enjoy authentic Mexican food I would totally recommend. The mom and pop places are the best and I'm glad I rolled the dice and took a chance. I will be back Taqueria la Monaraca.”

“I had never heard of this French restaurant before a friend invited me to join her. It is cash or check only and BYOB wine, so come prepared.
The restaurant is located at the end of a dead end road in a residential area, so you may feel out of place when you pull into the gravel drive. The restaurant name is marked on a sign, so you are sure you are in the right place.
The service starts the minute you step outside your car. I was met at the door by the owner taking me to my table. Our server was wonderful. He told us that the restaurant had been in business 40 years, and that there used to be horse training and a vineyard on site.
The 7 courses were all amazing! We started with tomato bisque soup, followed by shrimp scampi as the appetizer. They have 3 entree options daily. The previous table ordered all of the filets and my friends took the last of the duck, so I got the remaining salmon (I definitely wasn't disappointed though!). Vinegarette salad and a cheese plate were served together with fresh bread. The chocolate dessert with berry confit was delicious served with coffee.
It was very interesting talking to the owner about her life after dinner.

A Tres Leche cake was what I was looking for and found it literally right I'm front of the door! The selection of fresh breads and pastries was abundant! I got the cake I was looking for and several pastries and loaves of bread to try out! The proce was amazing as I got the cake and 8 pieces of bakery for $30... I highly recommend this establishment! I'll definitely be back!”

“I stopped here in May with a friend when traveling through Chattanooga. we were not familiar with Honduran food and we’re hesitant even after entering the restaurant and reviewing the menu. we bought a meal to split and were incredibly surprised at the beautiful flavors we experienced. Every thing we were served was so delicious! I don’t know how they make something as simple as rice taste so amazing but - wow. “🤯 we love to try bbq anywhere we go and sugars is definitely one you should stop in and try when you’re in Chattanooga. We got the ribs, sampler taco, brisket poppers, fried grilled corn, and spicy okra chips. The brisket popper is a jalapeño popper filled with cheese brisket and topped with I believe their house salsa- so flavorful. The taco sampler comes with a brisket, pulled pork and chicken taco. Each taco has cilantro, onion and radish and a crema or aioli sauce. My favorite was the brisket then the pulled pork. The. The ribs which were delicious and perfectly cooked without any sauce we sampled all of the sauces on a bite and our favorite was the red wine vinegar and chili sauce. So unique. Everything was unexpected but delicious. So happy we stopped in for lunch.”
