This is not a review about the food. We got there one hour before they closed but they decided to close early because it was slow. We walked for a long while to get there and it just feels wrong that they decided to close one hour early because it was slow.

Incredible food. The best restaurant I’ve been to in Chattanooga! The outdoor patio is amazing.Service was so friendly! I’ll always ask for Jeremy’s section. And Mary, the manager is so friendly as well. You gotta try the Brussels sprouts, Sweet Tea Chicken Sandwich w potatoes, and the Italian Sausage Flat Bread w Vodka Sauce!Everything was beyond delicious. Will make it a point to go to Hello Monty every time we visit Chattanooga! Can’t wait to try their other dishes, which looked amazing as well.Thank you, Jeremy and Mary for an excellent experience! And hats off to the chef!

The brunch was good. The dinner menu would’ve been better. My party got there around 240. Waiter the woman with pink hair and pink eyebrows served us. We knew brunch was over at 3pm. We asked about dinner items and the server said it’s not 3 yet. At the time it was 250. By the time we made our decision and she wrote it down and took it to the kitchen. I’m sure they could’ve made the food or ask us to wait 10 mins for 3pm. I also ordered three cokes. Thinking its fountain drinks. The waiter again failed to inform that they didn’t do fountain drinks and I paid 9 dollars for three can cokes and by the size of the glass with ice. I’m sure each canned coke was not used in its entirety. The food was good but I felt the server should’ve been more informative as well as answered our questions about either menu when the change time was within 10 minutes. The food was good but the server was horrible however our food was delivered within a timely manner and so were my three cokes. I won’t be back

Visiting with friends from out of town, we came in for dinner fairly late (8 pm, they closed at 9). Service was friendly and prompt. The food was AMAZING. We got the roasted cauliflower and cheese dip for starters, both were so delicious. My blackened salmon was a huge portion and perfectly cooked, love the roasted cabbage that came with it. Cool industrial atmo, fit right in with the neighborhood, easy parking.

The Brussels were 10/10 but the biscuits and gravy lacked flavor. I had to add a lot of salt and the sausage had a funky taste to it. Really cute place and food came out quick. Won’t be returning though.

After not being greeted into the restaurant, we were asked if we had a reservation. We did, and the request made on the reservation was not made. We had our 18 month old daughter with us and a highchair was not ready. The table they sat us at was in the middle of a booth section so our daughter could reach the table behind us making our meal and their meal a disaster. The sides lacked flavor and were not proportionate to the protein size. Our waters were not filled, not kept up with for the entirety of the meal. We were so disappointed and still hungry that we went to a different restaurant for an actual meal. We will never eat here again, not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Such a disappointment in service, food quality and atmosphere.Kid-friendliness: Not kid friendly at all. High chairs clip to sides of wiggly tables and not enough space for anyone to maneuver. Nothing was offered in small portions for our daughter and never checked in on the table.

The good: Hannah is awesome and extremely helpful with recommendations.Beer is awesome - loved the funky ipa. Cocktails also were on point. Most of the food was amazingly flavorful: the charred broccoli, tomato toast (which had way more than tomato on it!), and the fire roasted pasta with shrimp. Oh my goodness all of these were so good. The only negative was the flank steak. It’s like it was sous vide for too long or something? We were basically served boiled beef - it was med rare in the middle pieces but totally over on about 25% of it (and zero char/sear). 100% of it was flavorless and water logged. Super disappointing considering how good everything else was. The loaded mashed potatoes were a very tasty surprise.Totally looking forward to our next visit (sans any beef ;).

We had a wonderful experience with Daniel. My girlfriend and I are both servers and have management experience in food service and were blown away by the quality of service that Daniel provided. Easily the best server I’ve had. Daniel, still no band name…. But follow @ashtonfax on instagram and I’ll update you when there is a name.

I thought long and hard before making this review, but I feel like it needs to be said. My wife and I live downtown and have been here well over a couple dozen times. Some of the specials are fantastic, and the beer is incredible. My problem is that the kitchen has no idea how to properly cook red meat. One of my favorite dishes here was the butchers cut, unfortunately I just quit ordering it out of frustration from having to send it back basically every single time due to it being severely overcooked every time. I feel like mediun rare is a pretty common ask when dealing with steak, so I have a really hard time understanding why I had to keep sitting at the table and watch my wife eat while they had to replace my steak. I started ordering the burger and it was fantastic for a while, now they changed it. Instead of 1 nice-sized, juicy patty, its two, thin hockey pucks. We went last night and we both ordered the burger cooked medium. In typical fashion, they were both overcooked. My wife's was more medium well, but mine was so well done that I could barely cut it with the knife. There's no way you can charge $17 for a burger and present that garbage. They took it back and prepared a new one while I again sat and watched my wife eat. When they brought out the new one, it was still overcooked and I just went without eating. We had the crab rolls as an appetizer, and they were incredible. There are too many options available downtown rather than having to constantly battle with that. Unfortunately that will be our last visit to Monte.

We recently visited Hello Monty via recommendation from almost everyone in Chattanooga while visiting. They all said… “check out Hello Monty, it’s these two brothers, and their food and beer are some of the best in town, and they’re still running under the radar a bit. It’s a do not miss.”We 100% agree. Everything was excellent. We had the Caesar, collard greens melt (favorite), and a strawberry cream pancake for fun and each had a beer (but sampled them all). We would agree that the beer stood out among all of the breweries we visited in Chattanooga and absolutely loved our experience and the service as well as the two brothers who were indeed there and popped over to chat. Highly recommend! Thank your for a fun brunch over the holidays with great food and people!
