La Altena is the only place in town we go for Mexican food and we go at least once a week, every week. Delicious, fresh authentic food that comes out of the kitchen super fast. The service is great - everyone who works here is super friendly and attentive. We’ve been eating here for 14+ years and highly recommend to everyone.
We was looking for a place to eat some authentic Mexican food while on vacation and came across this place, our waiter Tito was so energetic and was great, he was funny and made for a pleasant visit, the food was fantastic my husband and I had shrimp fajita taco salad and wow the amount of shrimp that you got in the taco salad was unbelievable there was at-least 12-15 pcs of jumbo sized shrimp, my Brother-n-law and Sister-n-law had the sampler platter and they said it was great,...read full review

One word. Consistent. They don't have "off" days. As someone noted, it's not ever fancy, but it is ALWAYS good. My family has been going here for years. Same people always working so that should tell you something. I'd go just for the salsa.
