“Mama Yo’s was incredible! 5/5 all around—food and service both amazing. We came on thanksgiving around 3:30, and they stayed open for us after we called them earlier that day. Ra Ra and Mama Yo were incredibly kind and welcoming…felt like family away from home on thanksgiving! And the food… oh my god it was so good. I got the smoked chicken and dressing plate, which came with a roll and cranberry jelly with 2 sides, I got the Mac and cheese and turnip greens. The chicken was sooo tender and was falling off the bone. The gravy was probably the best gravy I’ve ever had. Everything was seasoned well and so flavorful. My fiancé had the pulled pork plate, and he had the baked beans and turnip greens on the side. Those were some of the best beans we’ve ever had and I didn’t even get a chance to try the pork because he ate it so fast ? The portions were very generous as well. Seriously, if you’re looking for delicious home cooking from two lovely people, you need to go here! Will not disappoint and I will absolutely be back here the next time I’m in this area.“
“Really delicious home-style southern cooking! I don't care for most catfish, but my wife got it here and it tasted really good. I got the roast chicken and it was well seasoned. Okra was fried well and their white beans were super tasty.They seem to serve a mostly take-out clientele, but the staff were very gracious and served us in the dining room. “They make the best waffles I've ever had in my life. I don't even like sweets but I can't stop thinking about them. They were perfect in every single way; I can't explain it to you. The rest of the world needs to catch up with Herman's. I don't know what they do to them but, my god, I've been given new life. “Wow! I had the rib plate with greens and fried tomatoes. Sister had rib sandwich with fried tomatoes. Got two fish sandwiches to go. Food tastes amazing, service was friendly, and the portions are very generous! Glad I got the fish sandwiches to have for supper. Yum!!“

I've only tried the ribs, fried shrimp and chicken&dressing mains so far and they were amazing. “From Atlanta and recently took a trip to Chattanooga. Stopped by Pier 88 for their happy hour. Pier 88 reminds me of Juicy Crab but better. Those Pier 88 wings extra crispy and extra wet are 10/10. The hush puppies are solid as well. The drinks were our least favorite. You have to order a Blue Long Island to taste liquor in your drink. Ordered a Cosmopolitan and I think the bartender added sprite. Yikes. Our waiter provided good service. Would definitely dine again“
