My family and I are consistently happy with how good the food is here and it seems a great value. They are often fairly busy but still get things through and always seem to be friendly at the same time. The only thing I'd like to see them add to the menu is a build your own combo plate where you could select 2 - 4 mains as I would love to mix and match the incredible catfish with a few other items!

Solid Fast Food fish. Wife and I and our 2 kids stopped at Captain D’s on Wilma Rudolph Blvd for a quick bite for dinner. Was not disappointed. Has probably been 20 years since I’ve been to the D’s, and I will not wait that long again. Cole slaw is a must, as is the Sweet Tea. Reminded me slightly of Ivar’s, if you’ve been to the PNW, but light years beyond a Long John Silver’s dinner.Kid-friendliness: Kids liked it!

I've always loved Captain D's! I recommend their butterfly shrimp and oreo cheesecake! This particular location is very clean, and the staff were very friendly and professional.
We ordered a meal that had shrimp which were burnt, and okra which had so much salt in it the meal it could not be eaten. It was my 1st time and idk if I will go back. The food sides had so much salt it was gross. I think the cashier was great. Friendly and funny but when the 2nd cashier came up she handed us our food we asked for forks the cadhier had issues about asking for forks confused me as far as why can't I have a fork? So I'm on the fence with the employees but not about the food to salty to eat and I don't like wasting money.
I ordered 10 Minute to go 2 piece fish with hush puppies and green beans. When I got there the Lady at the counter had already a bad attitude. Once I told here about my pre order she said I have to get in line with all the cars in drive thru. I responded the App says 10 minutes and she said "I don't care about the stupid app." "Fine" I said, guess I have to write a comment about this in my app. "We don't go by th app" was her respond again. Finally a very nice lady, obviously the cook, came up to solve the problem.A attitude of the lady of the front counter would have made things lots easier.

Had lunch with my hubby at Captain D's and will definitely go back again! Pretty busy as we had lunch there. Shrimp and fish was great and did not have much of a wait. Their hush puppies were great that you get with your meal too. Good parking and friendly people there too. Going back again!!

I'm new to the south. Wanted some fried fish tonight. I used Uber Eats and tried Captain D's for the first time. BIG mistake. I got one piece of fish and a baked potato. I also got an order of fried class. My fish was so undercooked the batter was slimy. My baked potato was brown on the inside. Whoever cut it open had to see it, but sent it anyway. My clam strips were tasty but were so hard I couldn't eat them. Everything was at room temperature like it sat out all day and then got sent to me. Uber Eats declined me a refund. So, I paid, but had to throw it all away. I'm not sure I will ever order from there again. It left a bad taste in my mouth, so to speak.

This is my third time coming here where my fish was soggy and the batter wasn’t fully cooked. Things happen so the first time I let it go, but a second & third time?! cmon now! I do not recommend coming here during the night shift.
