“I recently dined here and as usual, the food was delicious, well prepared and very satisfying. I had the popcorn shrimp platter that is more than enough to satisfy anyone. Our server, Cody, was very attentive, polite and checked on us often to ensure everything was satisfactory and if we needed anything. The hush puppies are the best that I’ve had and the pickled tomatoes offered as an appetizer paired well with the salad and the hush puppies while waiting on the entree. Keep up the good work!!!”

My family have been going there for the past 5+ years...excellent food, excellent service, very nice surroundings, just a great consistent experience every time. “I went out of my way to find this place, since others said it is the best BBQ in the area. We got a family pack with pork, chicken and a pack of buns, baked beans, potato salad, and potato wedges. All of it was great! And the homemade bbq sauce was amazing too! It was mild, sweet and thick just like sauce should be! Will definitely be going back... next time I hope to get some banana pudding too!”

“I absolutely love this place! Every time I visit, everyone is so friendly and welcoming. It’s one of my favorite spots to bring friends and family from out of town because I know they’ll experience some of the best coffee around.

This time I tried their seasonal strawberry coffee, and it was absolutely amazing—hands down one of the best specialty coffees I’ve had. The pastries are just as incredible and always fresh. Between the outstanding coffee, delicious pastries, and exceptional customer service, this place never disappoints. Highly recommend!”

“Taps Off Main is such a great addition to downtown Columbia. They always have an awesome rotating selection of beers, and the staff is more than happy to let you sample and try different options before you buy. They’re also great at giving recommendations if you’re not sure what to get. It’s the perfect convenient spot on the Columbia square to grab a quick beer during lunch, after work, or just hang out with a small group of friends. The atmosphere is always chill and welcoming, and I love that they have board games and card games available to play. The outdoor sidewalk seating is also really nice on pretty days downtown. I also wanted to share that the owner graciously offered me a ride to my car today while I was waiting on maintenance work to be finished. Such a genuinely kind gesture that really speaks to the type of people they are. Great beer, great atmosphere, and great people. Highly recommend checking them out!”

“I tried Nuestra Casa out yesterday for the first time and they did not disappoint!! I got the Quesabirrias and they were amazing, full of flavor. That is one thing most I’ve found lack, but this was place didn’t! I also got a side of their rice and it was also great. Their green sauce is also fantastic with the right amount of spice. It was paired with some of the best onion rings I’ve ever had—they were perfectly fried, crispy, and full of great flavor. The slaw was also a delicious, refreshing pairing that complemented the fish wonderfully.

​And you must save room for dessert! The slice of Honey Bun Cake was just plain fantastic.

“I’m from Texas & it’s been four years of nothing but terrible Mexican food from several restaurants. BUT!!! We moved into the area recently from Franklin & this Columbia restaurant is our new go to spot. To debunk the bad reviews, there’s no way the food was cold.. Plates are so hot that they have to have mitts to hold the plates when bringing the food out. The salsa & salsa verde are made in house & it’s the only Mexican restaurant I’ve been to in TN that hasn’t had jarred salsa. The chips are not stale… They are thick due to being made in house & not bagged chips from a distributor. They even have a tortilla maker right in the middle of the restaurant! As for the other Texan in the reviews, expecting an enchilada with cheese sauce (no true Texan eats that besides a 10 y/o child)… Enchiladas in Texas are far different than traditional enchiladas to begin with.
I went for lunch & got the Carne Asada. It was fantastic. Everything was so good that I brought my husband back the same day for dinner. He had a steak chimichanga & I had pollo taquitos. All of it was so good & comparable to what we are used to being from Texas. Prices are not expensive either! I had a margarita flight which was delicious & actually worth it, if you know what I mean.. My husband had a frozen house margarita & he too was feeling it! Needless to say, we will be back. I went from wanting to go to a nice steakhouse with reservations for my birthday but NOPE! I’m going here!!! Too good to pass up. The ambience is awesome too.”

I know some reviews here are criticizing the diner appearance but I appreciate that it has that true American diner feel and not the corporate contemporary bs other brands are adopting.”
