I used to LOVE the breakfast here! It was the best in town but we were sadly disappointed in the quality of food we got today. The bacon was thin, pre-cooked bacon and eggs were hard hocky puck style vs the soft, fresh scrambled and yummy thick bacon they used to serve. Watched it all be made fresh but spent money on food that honestly wasn’t even as good as a drive through. I hate putting out this review bc I love this place but hope it’s taken to heart and more unique, fresh non-pastry items are considered for the breakfast menu.

Heard about DL from friends whose daughter was gluten-sensitive. My wife has Celiac, and we decided to enjoy a drive from North Alabama to Columbia for her birthday. We made a fairly large order 'to go', including two large cinnamon rolls, two chocolate chip cookies, and a slice of cheesecake 'to share'. We split one cinnamon roll for dessert for supper that day, and split the other one, after reheating, the next morning for part of our breakfast. We tried to make the desserts last for a couple of days! The desserts were, indeed, EXCELLENT and the customer service was extremely friendly! The cinder block building is rather small & unassuming, but don't be fooled! What's on the inside is what counts!! Be aware that the shop has 'somewhat' limited hours (7am-3pm, Mon-Sat), so get there early!!

This place was a dream come true for my husband with celiac disease. He hasn’t been able to have cinnamon rolls for a very long time, and not only were they the best cinnamon rolls we had, they are 100% gluten free along with everything else there. It’s so frustrating to go to a restaurant and see something you want, but you can’t have it. Here, everything you see, you can have. Very good quality food and probably some of the best food I’ve had. Definitely don’t mind driving an hour away to come here. My husband was a kid in a candy shop. Much love ❤️❤️

The Dotted Lime is the best kept secret in all of Tennessee. Being both gluten and dairy-free, I had many food options available to me that I have not seen elsewhere since my diet became restricted. To be able to enjoy a cinnamon roll that looks like something right out of a bakery case was amazing! I wish their dining room had been a little bigger and a little cooler, but I guess it adds to the atmosphere. Our food was delicious and the gal who waited on us was delightful.Dietary restrictions: Both gluten-free and dairy-free options are available here. As a matter of fact, everything is gluten free.

Drove from Florence al to get my regular gluten free goods . I can not stress enough how the food made here has no tell tell signs of being gluten-free ! I love when they have frozen biscuits in their freezer! All you do is take one out of your freezer , wrap in a paper towel and pop in the microwave for 1 min. and done! THIS MAKES THE START OF MY DAY AMAZING! Thank you so very much Dotted Lime for a feel of normalcy in a gluten free world!

It's so comforting knowing that I can order anything off the menu and not have to worry about cross contamination. As a native Tennessean with an absolutely horrific quarter-life-inset wheat and gluten allergy, this place healed my soul. I hadn’t had a good biscuit in almost two years, but when I found this place on a trip to Nashville, I suddenly found myself able to enjoy Southern cooking again. My parents, who are very traditional west-Tennesseans, said they couldn’t tell the difference between the biscuits here and a regular biscuit like grandma makes. Do yourself a favor and get the hot chicken biscuit. Let it heal your soul, gluten/wheat allergy or not. CRAZY GOOD! We travel from out of state for this goodness and how I wish we could make it more than once a year! The "that" burger has to be one of the very best things I have ever tasted, but all of their food is delicious and everybody is always so kind and helpful. Breakfast biscuits are also out of this world. If you're coming from out of town you may consider staying at Muletown Farm as well- that, paired with breakfast and lunch from The Dotted Lime is the perfect trip.

Tried one of their sweet chicken sandwiches once and decided to go back for more. This one of the best Cuban sandwiches I've ever had. I didn't know gluten free could taste good. Their desserts are the icing on the cake. Highly recommended.
