Ski Mountain Grind Haus

While walking the Gatlinburg businesses strip, I was on the lookout for an iced coffee fix. Starbucks had a long line out the door and also isn't obviously a local coffee spot. Luckily I noticed a sign for coffee pointing inside the area where Sky lift tickets are sold. Very short line, quick service, not especially friendly baristas but the medium iced salted caramel coffee hit the spot and will give the mid morning desired caffeine boost for an active rest of the day. If you really need a coffee drink and don't want to walk to Starbucks, this place will work, but don't expect it to be made right. Asked for an iced coffee with cream, and it was somehow very sweet. Tried again the next day becasue it was convenient to our condo, and my husband stood at the counter and the girls working it just looked at him and went back to their conversations. I was too far from the Starbucks (and the line there was loooooong), so I decided to take a flyer and try their coffee. Despite the reviews, I found the coffee to be just below acceptable. I was expecting worse. The hot chocolate was ok. So, in a pinch, better than nothing.
