“We live in Tipton County came to the Boat House after the tornado last year. We loved The Lakeview and had tried a couple of the other restaurants in the area. We stopped looking when we found The Boat House. We came back this week and stayed at Southshore Resort for 4 nights. We ate here Thursday and Friday nights. They are closed on Tuesday and Wednesday. The fried catfish is perfectly seasoned and fried fresh. We had the slaw, fries, white beans, and green beans. I had the catfish both nights and Joe had the chef’s salad the second night. All of the sides were were flavorful especially, the white and green beans. Joe’s salad was a great portion with ham, bacon and good, crisp veggies. The staff is all very friendly and attentive. The view is perfect of the lake and the sunset beautiful, whether from the restaurant or the park outside. We will definitely be back for my birthday in October, if not sooner just for the catfish! The owners, Kerry and Joann, are the perfect hosts! It is definitely worth the short, pretty drive to Samburg.Kid-friendliness: Several families were eating in. Good kid’s menu.“

“Total surprise, but I should have guessed from the parking lot. This place was amazing. The people working there, the food, everything. We at lunch and the buffet was so good that we came back the next day they were open. We got some burgers and those were great too. I would go back in a heartbeat.“

“This place couldn't be any better. Food was great. Waitstaff were ON POINT and sweet as sugar. Everyone was polite and helpful. We sat in the dining room Friday and at the bar Saturday night and met lots of fun people, locals and guests. Great time!“

“It's nothing fancy, but I felt right at home at this place. The food was served quickly and was hot and fresh. The fried bologna is cut thick, my favorite. There's history here and you can see it in the photos on the wall and the memorabilia from the town for decor. We'll have to come back one day for ice cream!“
