“The only negative I have is I can’t give more than 5 stars. From start to finish this was a great time. We were waiting and Rex at the bar served us some beers to wait. I gave him a hard time and he rolled with it and the other two female bartenders joined in. Nicki the waitress was great in talking to us about the menu and what we wanted. I have two daughters and the friends we were with had two kids of their own. Someone gave them a hard time being silly playing with some provided games. Turns out he was the owner and he was extremely welcoming of them being there and playing the games. From start to finish an A+ experience. We had to wait around 20 to 30 min. Not sure of the time because we had a beer while the kids played and it wasn’t an inconvenience. As a father who takes his kids everywhere and worries about if they are being a bother, this isn’t the place. They were amazing from start to finish. Thank you MadOx for being an awesome venue with an awesome staff. Except for Rex, he is a nerd, just joking!Kid-friendliness: Above and beyond friendly with our kids.”
“My dad and I gave this place a try as soon as they opened after the sinkhole incident. We tried several different desserts from the case and not impressed. I'm not saying it was all bad it just wasn't... good. The chocolate powder they use isn't what we would call chocolate ? but closer to sawdust ?. Canolies are very good. We've had a Gabes burger couple times and its best when the fried egg can be popped to spread all over the burger. So far ours has been over cooked. I'll buy the burgers but I'll make the eggs myself. We've tried quiet a lot from here. A little bit pricier but it evens out with their tamales (pork). OMG momma can make those tamales !! $2 or $2.50 per tamale...Soooo worth it. They only make them on certain days and they like to keep you guessing on which days they will make them so you HAVE to order EARLY....like opening time ? to make sure you get the amount you want and the meat you want. Gabe is the only person I've dealt with and he's just a cute little button with a smile for his customers and if there's an issue he will fix it fast. Ice cream is delicious and he will make whatever you want. All in all it's a good food type of place. 2 or 3 tables in the front to sit and wait on food but while it's winter it's too much draft to sit and eat since the door is RIGHT THERE and people are coming and going so that cold is too much. Like I said...the food is good and the baked desserts with the powder I think is more an issue of what we are used to for chocolate vs what they are used to for chocolate so nothing against the owners or staff. It's just what you are used to. So stop by and order from the menu and try them yourselves and you'll find something you will like and something you will love...just leave the pork tamales for me and my dad ?.”
“Our server Jessica recommended a couple of items off of the menu for my wife and she nailed them. My wife was very happy with her choices. My burger was cooked as I ordered and was pulled with perfectly cooked bacon. An excellent lunch. We will definitely be ”
“Very, very salty. The food is good, sloppy burgers, good fries, but too much seasoning.I never tried to ask for light seasoning because I figured this is just how they come (we tried it 3 times). My parents had the hot dogs (which are chili dogs), but they said the chili wasn't real chili, more like the cornmeal textured stuff, and it was a bit dry. I guess it just depends on what you're looking for.Super fast service and not too expensive.”
“Best BBQ in Jefferson city hands down. Plus it's the only legit BBQ in Jeff City unless you want to drive about 20 minutes towards Morristown to Buddy's BBQ. It might not be an actual sit-down restaurant, but the food is delicious and reasonably priced based off other restaurants in the area. I highly recommend this place to anyone in the mood for some great BBQ .Parking: Its on the corner right across from McDonald's connected on to the building with cricket, just right past the Domino's. There parking lot is also shared with 2 or 3 other businesses making parking annoying at times smh. A huge tip would be to call in your food ahead of time because there can tend to be a wait, depending on the time of day. The more ya know ...”
“I loved the fajita chicken. I ordered the polo loco 10/10. It's so yummy compared to some. The shredded chimichanga chicken was kinda like bland shredded chicken though. Salsa was good. Affordable.”
“We bought some take out and loved it. I was slightly uneasy reading some reviews saying it wasn't great but a few points.. 1. It looks spotless in the kitchen 2. When you cut open the sesame seed chicken it's actually chicken (crazy right?) 3. They were fast at making the food. I would recommend this place but I don't want it to become so popular that I can't get in to get food quickly ?”
“I've heard a lot of good things about this food truck and when I saw it at the Grainger County Tomato Festival, I had to try them out. My wife and I had their pulled pork sandwich which was loaded down with meat. It came with a sweet or spicy sauce so we tried one of each. They were delicious! Neither flavoring was overpowering.Grillbilly has a good selection of various items made with pork, chicken and brisket. Prices are reasonable ($8-$14) and the gentlemen serving it up were very polite. They serve a large area within East Tennessee. Try them out!”
“What a great dinner. Didn't want to order fried food so I ordered the Flat Iron Steak (rare) and baked potato. One of the best steaks I've had in a long time, cooked as requested with great flavor and so tender. The potato was the same, cooked perfectly with great flavor. My wife had the salmon Caesar salad that had a really large piece of fish, also great flavor and dressing on the salad. We were both so pleasantly surprised at how good it was. Everything we have ever ordered here has been good. Only negative for me is that inside the bar area can be quite loud at times , luckily there is plenty outside. Our server Alyssa was great, checking on us often and very friendly.”
“Great food, great people!!! Love this restaurant.Parking: Good parkingKid-friendliness: Great for a familyWheelchair accessibility: Has wheel chair accessibility”
“The hibachi is very good here, about as good as any I've had for a "fast food" type hibachi restaurant. Fresh mushrooms, tender chicken, very tasty carrots and fried rice usually all cooked just right.....the best shrimp sauce. Haven't eaten inside since COVID so can't comment on that but the staff is friendly and food is ready pretty quickly.”
“Been a regular stop since they opened this location. This visit the staff was very friendly and engaging. The #13 Original Italian, Mikes way on rosemary bread is one of my favorites. I Always order the Giant, so I have second half for later.”
“I literally stop at this place almost every morning!!! Absolutely love this place! Love how the girls are always so patient with me while deciding what I want lol and for helping me decide and know the flavors! Highly highly recommend!”
“First visit last night and we were very impressed. Baked rigatoni with meatballs for me, and hubby had a veal parm grinder. The food was hot and delicious. We took a slice of cake to enjoy at home......YUM! We'll be back.”
“My girlfriend and her parents wanted to eat here. We arrived at 2pm not knowing they closed an hour later! Even so, it was a delightful lunch. The food theme here is Irish/Scottish dishes but you wouldn't know it from the atmosphere ?... They would really do well to hire an interior decorator because it looks very disorganized in there- though the lounge seating in the back did look comfy!Regarding the food, it was honestly some of the best I've had in Tennessee. All three of us walked away pleasantly stuffed and shocked at the quality of the food. I had the "Bangers & Mash". Outside of my sausage looking a little too happy to see me- the meat, gravy, sauteed onions, and potatoes were delicious. Even my side of macaroni and cheese was made at the perfect consistency- with a broiled layer of cheese to boot!I highly recommend eating here as the food is a 10/10. My only complaints are the interior and the the hard cutoff at 3pm- though apparently they open later for dinner on Thursdays and Fridays.Parking: I'd say there's about 30-40 spots out front with plenty more available the further out you wish to walk.Wheelchair accessibility: I believe there was a small incline from the sidewalk. Worst case, you may need someone to assist you with hopping the curb.”
