“Friendly greeting and a helpful young man who is happy to answer questions and make suggestions. The Walnut meat and oyster mushrooms were our favorite parts of the meal. The Mac & No cheese probably wouldn't be something we order again, just wasn't our cheesy preference.“
“I highly recommend visiting this little family owned restaurant especially if you've never tried Ethiopian cuisine before. The aroma of the food was incredible as soon as we walked through the door. We had vegetable sambbusa and the combo platter for two and it did not disappoint. Service was fast and friendly and the interior was comfy, clean and welcoming with light jazz playing over the speakers. One thing that I will add is that they might be out of some menu items. This is a small business and they might run out of things. No big deal but it is worth mentioning.I've lived in the neighborhood for way too long without trying Gosh. I will be back to support this fantastic restaurant.“
“I work downtown and am always searching for a good lunch deal. A coworker recommended this spot! For $10 (+ $2 tip) I got a large turkey sandwich and a cup of vegan chili (soup of the day). The chili is very flavorful, especially to be vegan! The sandwich is nothing too special, but the value is hard to beat. The combo also comes with a side- I chose fruit. I’ll have to come back to dine in. The staff was very kind, and the atmosphere was cozy and old-world feeling. I loved the large oil painting behind the bar. Overall a really great spot.“
“This is a small, casual, intimate family restaurant. The atmosphere and service are absolutely great. The food is outstanding, some of the best around. We enjoyed a small family gathering to celebrate my son's birthday. Everyone was very happy. We had a terrific time. We can't wait to go back.“
“Hands down the best tamales I’ve ever had - that’s including a stint down in Texas in Austin. Have yet to have anything that comes close. When friends or family visit Knoxville, this is the first place I recommend. Get the Chicken Tinga paired with the Calabacitas and thank me later. Real Knoxville gem.“
