“The reviews don't lie! Very quirky restaurant in a small strip center. Smooth jazz and judge Judy playing in the background. Service was quick and attentive. Food was piping hot and fresh. Great flavor. Attractive plating. I wish this place was in Nashville.“
“Craving GOOD authentic street tacos and birria and this place DID NOT disappoint. The food was so good I couldn’t even get a pic before inhaling it. Birria burrito surprised us with rice and beans in it and it was packed! Birria tacos were good portions that filled me up and the consomé was DELICIOUS. Best I’ve ever tried. I ordered 1 steak taco to try it since it was my first time here, and it was full of flavor as well. Will 100% come back!“
“Nestled in the heart of the capitol of country music is a nice little gyro shop. Everyone that walked in was greeted and served promptly and most were greeted by name. The gyro was very good and the fries about as good as fries get but the rice was amazing! I wound up filling up on the rice and saving the gyros for later. The deep house tunes made for a great atmosphere. I will definitely be here every time I come to Nash-Vegas!“
“Stepped out on a limb and stopped here for lunch one day. It did not disappoint! Great prices and good tacos! I like the added grilled onion slices, grilled jalapeno, and hot carrots they add on the side with the tacos. Have stopped here several times since and will in the future anytime I'm in the area“
“I had some of this chicken during an octoberfest event and oh my god have I thought about them every day since then. Not only is it crispy, spicy, and fresh, BUT the sweet little sauce on the side is the best I've ever had. I live over 5 hours away but I will be coming to find this truck again! It's THAT worth it! Also follow them on ig they're very active!“
“Dudes, craving some legit tacos? Forget the fancy restaurants and overpriced fillings. Taqueria El Maguey might be out of a gas station, but don't let that fool you. They have a separate walk-up window and outdoor seating, so you can enjoy the real deal without stepping foot inside. This place is no-frills, but man, do they know how to make a taco. The second you walk up to the window, the smell of sizzling meat and fresh tortillas hits you like a flavor wave. It's like stepping into a little slice of Mexico, right there at the gas pump. Now, let's talk about the star of the show: their pastor tacos. These things are legendary. Picture perfectly marinated pork, cooked on a vertical rotisserie until it's crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. They pile it onto fresh, warm tortillas with pineapple chunks, onions, and cilantro. Each bite is an explosion of flavor and texture – sweet, savory, salty, with a kick of freshness. Hands down, the best tacos I've had in town. Period. And let's not forget the salsas. They have a killer selection, from mild and tangy to fiery hot. I went for a mix of both – perfect for adding a little extra flavor and heat to my tacos. The service at El Maguey is friendly and fast. The staff is happy to answer questions and help you navigate the menu. Plus, the prices are crazy reasonable. You can get a full bellyful of delicious tacos without breaking the bank.Look, if you're after a fancy sit-down meal, this ain't it. But if you want authentic, mouthwatering tacos in a casual, grab-and-go setting, Taqueria El Maguey is the place to be. It gets 5 stars from this happy customer. Just be prepared to fight the urge to order seconds (or thirds).“
“Can a food truck have ambiance? There is no website, check their FB for schedule or Black Abbey Brewery's site for days and hours. It is easy to pull in and pull out of the lot during slow hours for the brewery or when it is closed and ther are pinic tables outside if you don't want to eat in your car or take it to go. I havd the birria ramen which comes with 1 birria taco and a large container of ramen that I beleve is 2 packs of ramen that comes in the black package. This is comfort and convenience food, not a groumet food truck experince. I do not mean that as a insult because my taco was piping hot, well made, tastey, and was not sopping wet and falling to pieces. The ramen was good but I liked the peices of beef the best. I do not really eat instant Ramen much anymore since college and I struggled to finish the container but I think if you want something heavy after a night of drinking, this will work for you fine.“
“Wow very very good food. The mulitas are a must. They are 2 mini corn tortillas semi crispy with meat, onion, cheese, cilantro and avocado inside, a cross between a taco and a quesadilla. The pastor, carnitas and lengua we soooo flavorful. Pricing is a tad high for a taco truck but worth it.“
“I liked the atmosphere, it feels like home ?? the trails are all very nice. But they have to improve the food. If I rated the empanadas and the cakes from 1 to 10, I would give them 3 points.Hey, the empanada dough is very hard and very thick, the shredded meat is very salty, and the cheesecake with potatoes ? it's as if you were eating mashed potatoes with flour. They really need to improve here, our food is very expensive compared to other nationalities. But improve that food from the heart ♥️“
“Thi s place is one of the greatest on earth real food from real people. The area its located in is very diverse. You know people nfrom all walks of life . This is my naba hood and always will be. Please come check them out . Ima stamp them certified. The heart of LA.Lower Antioch.“
“The prices are really confusing and theyusually don’t have someone who speaks English fluently working, so ordering is hard and I always end up paying more than I think I will cause it’s hard to communicate. I paid $12.49 for chips and guac, two tiny barbacoa tacos, and horchata. The portion sizes of the tacos and the guac is so small that I can’t really say I feel like I got my money’s worth. Everything also needed more salt, the food lacked flavor. The horchata is ok but a little watered down. Because it seems like the prices are going up while the food quality stays the same I probably won’t be back, but give it a try if you’re craving mexican fast food in lavergne, the drive thru is very convenient.“
