“There's nothing better in one's breakfast life than going to Monell's in Nashville for breakfast. It's a take it easy kinda place where the food is incredibly delicious and the atmosphere is stellar; here you find America at its best.Parking: There's both paid and street parking availability.Kid-friendliness: It's a wonderful place to meet up with the grandkids; the tables are comfy and there's room for everyone at the table.“
“I'm born and raised in Nashville so I know about meat and 3 spots and I will say this soul food spot is in my top 3 if not 2! Very good hot food that makes the tummy happy and taste buds go crazy. Very good people who work there and put there all into making sure you enjoy your food. Dine -in or TO GO they will take care of you. If you haven't been to RAMZYS now is your sign! You won't regret it. Thank you RAMZYs me and the family will be back“
“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I'm only upset that I've just recently found out about this wonderful establishment! I've been twice in one week already so I'm very convinced that this is by far the best soul food establishment we have in Nashville. Hands down... I got the chicken & dressing with mashed potatoes and green beans the first time, then came back later in the week and got hot lemon pepper fried chicken wings with macaroni and cheese and greens. Both plates were excellent and now I have my new favorite spot for home cooking! Just when I thought we didn't have anymore good meat & 3 restaurants.“
“Great meat and 3 spot. Had the fried pork chop with gravy, which was phenomenal. Tried the country fried steak and fried chicken from my family which were also fantastic. Turnip greens were on point, mashed potatoes and gravy and pinto beans were tasty as well. Got some green beans from my daughter which were delicious. Idk how I made it out of there without Mac n cheese, I guess I’ll have to order some next time. Bread pudding was really good. The staff was super friendly and everyone dining there seemed to be having a great time. Pricing was fine. Will definitely return and would recommend.“
“I needed a place to eat while I was passing through Nashville and I very much enjoyed the fried chicken, mac&cheese, and baked beans. The peach cobbler was cold, but probably would have tasted better if it was still warm. There were plenty of options to choose from and everything had good flavor and seasoning. I would eat there again.Parking: Parking is on the side and in th back“
“My husband was working on the area and we wanted something other than fast food or the usual chain restaurants. Stopped in here and had a great lunch! Great home cooking. The pork chops are cooked to order and so good! And the little fried corn bread fritters were amazing!! Portions are huge and had enough to take home for a second meal. We will stop again if we are in the area!“
“My niece is surprised they don't make their own ranch sauce. I got a medium heat chicken, all others ordered no heat. It is tasty chicken indeed. We added a touch of vinegar to the collard greens and they, too, were delicious. We chose this place as they have parking and is right off the highway.“
“We walk by here frequently & we are always looking for a hole in the wall to try. They did not disappoint! It is fantastic! We had the fried chicken, Mac & cheese, and mashed potatoes. It was crispy, flavorful, & juicy on the inside. Looking forward to trying more items from the menu definitely planning on becoming a regular! If you are looking for southern cooking Lil Cee’s is the spot!“
“Bringing down the house! If it ain't right, you know you wrong. best soul food around. They have a main or side for whatever you in the mood for. Blessing souls like only great food can. Get on down here and try these greens! Mouth watering dishes that nourish the spirit.“
“This is the best fish sandwich in Nashville. The fish sandwich is like you would make at home served on light bread. The classic sandwich comes with mustard pickle onion and hot sauce. This is carry-out only so pull into the parking lot and eat while hot.“
“The BEST hot chicken and a true vintage East Nashville experience. The hot chicken is legit, but if you like catfish….this is it. The spicy catfish is 2nd to none and don’t forget the green beans. Seriously the best green beans I’ve ever had in my life. Bolton’s for life!“
“Surprised this place wasn't packed for lunch on a Tuesday. Great lunch cafeteria-style selections - chicken fried pork chops, country style steak, ribs, cabbage, collards - SON!! It was delicious. Guy serving the food was nice, too.“
“I’ve been here at least 6 times and just was introduced fairly recent. The food is fantastic! The service could be better always room for improvement. And as for the atmosphere it’s the location in Madison if that says anything. I mean it is what it is. But I am grateful for the good food and I recommend this spot if your looking for a good southern home cooked plate this is my go to. I am always prepared to wait 30 min or more but it’s worth it to me.“
