I can’t get over how great our server was tonight! They were under staffed but she was still amazing!!! We had a small event tonight in one of the rooms and I can’t figure why I have never thought of this before!!! Highly recommend!!! ?

It was lacking badly. Two people in our group got the deluxe top hamburger and loved that. Everyone that got the meatloaf said it was dry and not good. Almond crusted flounder was over breaded and really disappointing. The sides were tasteless for the most part. They really need to work on the food. We were very surprised because they got a number of good reviews.

Quality was good but we were sat during shift change and there was some issues with which server was ours and we had to wait a while after having a reservation for even drinks.

The Appalachian Bistro at Dancing Bear Lodge is closed on Monday and Tuesday nights, as are a couple of other recommended restaurants in Maryville (the closest town of any size). Sullivan's is a good alternative, albeit a 15-20 minute drive away.

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. I ordered a medium Ribeye with a side of cheddar jalapeño grits. The picture below is what I got... I was served a slab of burnt fat that was horribly cooked. There was nothing but fat. Second was the DISGUSTING bloody napkin under my side dish on the main plate. How can you serve someone that?!?! I'll be contacting the Health Department..

Great staff, friendly service, great food with normal and funky options. We loved sitting outside on the sidewalk with the kids. They enjoyed watching the cars pass while we waited for our food. Fun place!

We have eaten at Sullivan's for years and the quality has always been consistent and excellent. Not this time. We were shocked when we ordered our favorite Almond encrusted flounder to find that cornmeal almond coating had been replaced with some type of tasteless batter. I had 5 almonds sliced sprinkled on top. The fish was totally bland. No flavor. Usually you don't need anything on the fish not even their tarter sauce. But this time it was terrible. Not at all like the original recipe. I had the creamed spinach which consisted of about two tablespoons of spinach and the rest of the cruet was filled with panko crumbs. This was a Sunday maybe the regular chef missing or something? Both of us were very disappointed. We don't mind paying for quality but this fish was not better than a drive thru fish sandwich. What up?

Food is wonderful, but kitchen needs help! Almond crusted flounder was cooked perfectly and the shrimp tacos were also excellent. Cant go wrong with any of their sides, but the creamed spinach and cheese grits are at the top of the list. Server was outstanding, but clearly their kitchen is understaffed.

We have ate here a total of 4 times. All 4 times were amazing. Best steaks I've ever had! We don't even bother getting steaks anywhere else. Our first time we sat at the bar since they were busy. The bartender recommended a drink for me which I loved. We decided to go back after a few months and we sat at the bar again. He remembered our drink order after months and just being there one time!
Another great experience. They got 4 / 5 for this meal because I had to wait about 7 to 8 minutes to be acknowledged by the server. BUT, it was Saturday night crunch-time; people flooding in. After that, things went smoothly. VERY good food, attentive server. I will definitely return. I live 180 miles away and I do wish this restaurant was in my hometown.

The waiter Sonny was nice. I ordered the almond catfish. It was so salty I had to peal off the crust. The salt overwhelmed the fish. The 2 sides baked spinach and sweet potato casserole were delicious. I would try again but do not recommend that meal.

Sullivans wasn’t busy and they allowed us to bring our newborn puppy on site for lunch - the food was great, service was spot on and we will be back!

Wow! I wish we were local so we could eat here often! My boyfriend had a burger and said it was the best ever, along side with fries. I got the pasta. It's amazing, best I ever had! Plus a full salad ( it's their side salad, but huge portion) and even a side! We were impressed with food, service and atmosphere!
