I grew up in the apartments next door to this restaurant on College St but I have moved out of Memphis since then. But, I remain faithful to this place because every time I come to town I have to get one of Mr. Al's chili cheese hot dogs, cheeseburger. Hands down this is still the best burger place I have ever eaten at and I have been around the world to so many places. Thank You Mrs. Barbara and Mr. Al for keeping it going. It holds so many memories for me when I use to go to the beauty shop next door and get my hair done and soon as she put me under the dryer I would call in my order lol

I have been eating Al's since I was a kid. Food is always great and consistent. I've had the burger, footlong, and chicken philly. All are always great and the people are super chill. I was slick sad when they closed down but God knows as long as I'm in Memphis, I am getting my two chili cheese footlongs with slaw. Its something about that chili bruh. Not your normal chili, kind of sweet but super good. People laugh at me when I say I'm going to buy a chili dog but they just don't know. Definitely my go to spot!

Went to Memphis to visit Graceland and took a chance on this whole in the wall burger place based on the previous reviews. Let's just say we weren't disappointed! Hands down one of the best burgers we've ever had! The burger was nice and juicy filled with lots of flavor! As a bonus it's less than 5 minutes from Graceland if you're visiting there! Prices are very reasonable as well. Would definitely go back to this place if we're ever in Memphis again.

Well folks,let me tell ya, if you looken for a big ole burger like back 30 years ago, where the burger juice's running down your arm, this is the place to eat. Seasoned fries are great also. I had the 1/2 pound burger, and it was the best. I will definitely be back.

Juicy burger (I got the 4oz), perfectly-cooked fries, and sweet tea that'll knock you down! Staff was friendly, too. It's not difficult to find, either. I live in East Memphis, and I already know I'm going to be coming back!
