I recently discovered Cheffie's Cafe in Memphis, and it has become my go-to place for a delicious salad. When I first arrived in Memphis, I was craving a fresh and satisfying salad, but it seemed like every restaurant offered barbecue, steak, or asian cuisine. Luckily, a good friend of mine recommended Cheffie's Cafe, and I've been hooked ever since. One of the things I love about Cheffie's is the option to build your own salad. It's always exciting to customize your meal exactly how you want it. My absolute favorite is the chicken caesar salad. I prefer it chopped and with some extra protein, so I add eggs to it. Along with red onions, banana peppers, and jalapeño peppers, the combination is absolutely mouthwatering. The caesar dressing they offer is the perfect finishing touch. When I'm on a high protein, low-carb diet, I skip the croutons, but the flavor is still incredible. Another salad that I can't get enough of is the Santa Fe salad. It's perfect for when I want a little more carbs in my meal since it includes beans and corn. The combination of flavors in this salad is simply delightful. It's a generous portion, and I often find myself enjoying it for a couple of days. If you're looking for a place to satisfy your salad cravings with a wide variety of options, I highly recommend ordering your salads from Cheffie's Cafe. You won't be disappointed. They have sandwiches too!

I love the salads at Cheffie's! The staff was not accommodating at all about food allergies. No knowledge of certain ingredients and seemingly reluctant to ask or seek info within the store from labels or the manager.Dietary restrictions: I was able to eat fresh vegetables and bring my own salad dressing to enjoy this restaurant and avoid allergens.

The establishment is receiving 2 stars because the location was clean and the male who made my sandwich was helpful. First time guest who was referred by a friend and I would have rather spent my lunch break in my car with my jimmy John's or jersey mike sandwich for the price paid for what I received. My grand total was 14/15 dollars for a sandwich with a side of chips and a side of onions for my sandwich which was a dollar. The male preparing the salads clothes were dirty and filled with stains. (I arrived around 11:20 am) The young lady seemed irritated with the male also, not sure why but I didn't have to know that something about a register. The sandwich was burnt from it sitting on the presser for maybe 5-7 minutes as they prepared to go and door dash orders. On the sandwich I received one slice of ham, one slice of turkey, two pieces of tomato, cheese and a ton of lettuce. So really a lettuce sandwich, the bacon was fine just very hard, I could barely eat it because it was similar to dried jerky. Overall I would MAYBE go back to try a salad (because the portion size look huge MAYBE on a day when or if the owners are present but I'm not in a rush to go back soon or refer anyone

It's doubtful, we will return to Cheffie's Cafe as Memphis has many great restaurants to choose from. The two women behind the counter were simply not friendly, seemed mad. Maybe at one another? One wearing a toboggan and one with no head covering. My wife and I both ordered salads for takeout they were fine. This is my only negative review but the experience was negative. My advice to the owners, place someone with a smile to greet patrons. We have choices and I know what mine will be next time. Maybe I am old school, but I thought it was a code requirement for those serving food to wear a head covering like a net, hat, etc. This meal reinforces that need to be

I opted to build a salad and was pleasantly surprised at the freshness and flavor.. definitely will be going back again. Love the huge portion of salad. Plus the deck was a hit. Super relaxing neighborhood just watch out for the acorns falling! Excuse my tray I had already dug in!
Such a bad experience… No prices on the menu and they don’t give you a receipt. The employees were incredibly unfriendly and seemed like they wanted to kill themselves. Not sure how much the sandwich cost, but it wasn’t worth it for a half slice of cheese, cheap deli meat, and a whole raw
