“A really neat place to have dinner and you definitely get your money's worth on the food. High quality steak cooked to perfection and big portions of sides (included in the price). Fall harvest salad with Brie and pears was great. I was a little disappointed that the underground tunnels and passageways had been closed off and blocked up according to the server. Beautiful location and we will be back!“

“I've always been a fan of the comfort of a waffle House. There is something about the familiarity of WH. This was the nicest friendliest waffle House I've ever been to. Everybody in the place just went out of their way to make sure my experience was wonderful! Best waffle House experience ever ❤️“

“We went in for breakfast before our hike and had a delicious meal. Cindy was our server and she was fabulous! She was so good and recommended the chicken and dressing for lunch, so we came back again! Cindy waited on us again. Neither she or the food disappointed! 5 out of 5 recommend! Both food and service were amazing.“

“A cool old (circa. 1960) place to stay with modern amenities. The original restaurant and trading post was destroyed by fire several years ago. The restaurant is now behind the original location. They have good food and live music. I will definitely stay there again when in the area.“

“I liked it! Service was nice, the waitress was fast and very sweet. I got the hand breaded and fried chicken tender sandwich with onion rings and it was good and hot. The live music was a little gospel focused but nice background noise! Bring your own alcohol if you can/want, grab a sandwich, and listen to the live music for a few hours. I had a great time!“

“My family loved this place. We stopped through to stay at the Smoke House Hotel coming home from a trip and went to the Patio for dinner. It’s a small eclectic space, with live music every Fri and Sat, and the food was good with generous portions. We highly recommend the fried okra and fried pies with ice cream, both were amazing! We loved the atmosphere and friendly people and hope to visit again. You could bring your family, come on a date, or to hang out with friends. Don’t let the location or look of the place scare you away-this place is a real gem.“

“We stayed in one of the cabins which not only had its own fireplace inside, but a hot tub. Its as rustic as you can get, with no frills but perfect for us. While it is a little outdated, it had everything we needed. TV with cable, good wifi, full size fridge, stove, microwave, coffee maker, dishes, plenty of towels and wash cloths. Plenty of wood for the fireplace and a porch with rocking chairs. Bed was big and comfortable. Its not your 5 star resort but more like your personal cabin with the necessary amenities. The only set back was the jacuzzi/ hot tub water pressure was so slow it took for ever to fill. Other than that I would say the couch was outdated, but those are minor things. Having the restaurant on-site was a plus. Food was good, portions were amazing and cost was reasonable. Front desk was very courteous. Grocery store, liquor store, restaurants and gas stations all within walking distance. Definitely recommend and we are looking forward to another stay soon.“

“This was an accidental find on recommendation of a gas station attendant. A little ways into town so you need to search for it but worth it! Eclectic decorating and coffee cups but everyone was a delight. Staff and locals. Food was top notch. We will happily make a point of stopping here again.“

“I had two meals here now one breakfast food and service was good. And one super meal. The food was good but I was very disappointed that my Philly cheese steak was on a torlia wrap and not a bun when I got home and opened my to go box. It was okay but definitely not what one expects to get ordering a philly.“
