“We were passing through Sweetwater on a family road trip stopping at the Lost Sea Adventure and needed to grab lunch. My friend found the Sweet & Salty Eatery as an alternative to your typical road trip fast food options. We were all very satisfied with the food, the staff, and most of all the owner. He came around and greeted all the customers, chatted with us about our trip. Gave us multiple recommendations of places to go and see at our final destination. Sweet & Salty is a true gem and a great find in Sweetwater. From sandwiches, to flatbread pizzas, and finally the “best smoothies” the kids have ever had…and they are smoothie connoisseurs, it was a great place to stop and I would definitely recommend it to everyone!”
“I absolutely love going here Food is delicious and super fresh! The workers are super friendly!Parking: Parking along right and rear of the building.. veteran parking and handicap parking in front of storeKid-friendliness: From toddlers to picky pre teens never had an issue finding something they like here to eatWheelchair accessibility: Handicap parking in front of store, ground level door, wheelchair accessible tables”
“I moved to Sweetwater a couple of months ago, and I regret not coming here sooner. The mint chocolate chip was so good and creamy. Definitely going to be hard to beat. Side note, the marshmallow topping is a treat in and of itself.”
“I can't say enough wonderful things about this bakery/cafe. The people who work there, both the related and the friends, make you feel like part of their extended family and I have never walked in without being greeted by the warmest smile ever! The fresh baked goods are amazing, and I have sent out their packaged treats (I suggest the crack!) have been welcome gifts to my family in multiple states and it travels very well. It's plenty convenient to the highway, though I always take advantage of the scenic route, and it's a wonderful place to take a stop while either driving or riding around beautiful Sweetwater. I wish I could give them six stars!”
“My husband & I moved here from NYS in November 2023 and I knew I wanted to try this place. My favorite cookies are the Gluten free Peanut Butter. They taste FANTASTIC and I don’t have to eat GF. My 2nd favorite is the Oatmeal Raisin Cookie. I like the Caramel Macchiato frozen or not frozen. My only complaint is they don’t have skim milk and I haven’t been able to go as much. I LOVE their drinks and was drinking them at least 3 days a week, but anything other than skim disagrees w/me. I would love for them to add skim milk as an option - otherwise, this is a GREAT place!!Parking: Parking is usually not available in front of the Coffeehouse, but there is rather large parking lot across the street and it’s free.”
“Navarro's has been closed over the winter. I can't wait until they open this year. I need my brisket fix. I am a good brisket loving person and drive a good distance to get it. Navarro's is the best I have had in Tennessee. I have had great brisket in Texas but Navarro's is right there. I will be happy when March rolls around.”
“This is the BEST burgers in Athens Hands down! 1st time trying, and I'm definitely not disappointed. They are so busy, our wait was an hour long but well worth it. Will be my go-to for now on.”
“We recently celebrated two of our grandchildren’s birthdays. The boys picked their cakes and they were exactly what we ordered. They were fresh and absolutely delicious!!!”
“Went to Fat Hats for the first time. The food was excellent. They have a hidden treasure there Emily. She came to to the table and did some card tricks such a lovely person. We will definitely be back i think it's my new favorite place to eat. Oh and the onion rings the best ever light and crispy. ”
“This place's food is absolutely amazing start to finish there's nothing I wouldn't recommend.Vegetarian options: Plenty of options for both vegetarians and vegans”
“She said: Perfect stop and break at an old school soft serve ice cream place with walk-up or drive-by service. Too bad we stopped after lunch as BBQ place next door looked attractive. He said: I agree. Still picked up a pound of BBQ next door before we left.”
“The food is very delicious and brought out really quick. The customer service is spot on. I order from here quite a bit and I'm never disappointed. Excellent place to dine in or takeout.”
“I had the shrimp burrito fajita, and it was amazing. They were able to sit a party of eleven very quickly, and service was great. Drinks full, food was out fast. Highly recommend.Kid-friendliness: Good kids menu with lots of options for even the pickiest eaters”
“Great little sandwich and hoagie shop in Sweetwater. I had the Reuben… delicious! Served with a pickle and hot pepper on the side. My dad ordered the club and it looked huge and excellent!”
“The Hurricanes we got were great... Decent prices plus we couldn't even finish them all so definitely got our money's worth. Service was awesome as well... However, the only downside was the dining area outside is right next to the driveway to the drive thru window and all of the vehicles exhaust was kinda fuming us out. Kids enjoyed the treat too so all around, it's a good place and we will definitely be visiting again.”
“Very glad to find this little place in Athens, Tennessee. Service was fast and friendly. It has a slightly limited menu, but very good food. We got level one on spicy, and it was about a spicy as I can enjoy (and I like it spicy). I have no complaints about this place. The only reason I gave it a three on atmosphere is because it’s very small and in a strip mall. It was pleasant and clean and the bathroom was clean.”
“1st timer. Ate here for dinner shortly before they closed on a Saturday night. Got the Chicken Carbonara and it was delicious. It was a smooth, settle, tasting sauce. ?It was so good and I would def come back just to eat that again. They brought some bread and marinara as the table appetizer which was also so fresh and good. The food was nice and hot even tho they were so close to closing. There was no pressure on us that they were closing either, they let us enjoy our food at our own pace.”
“I'm vegetarian and love getting a slaw dog. AKA, hotdog bun that's loaded with their awesome slaw and whatever toppings you want.Vegetarian options: I'm vegetarian and love getting a slaw dog. AKA, hotdog bun that's loaded with their awesome slaw and whatever toppings you want.”
“Excellent donuts!! Wish I wasn’t diabetic ???… but maybe that’s a good thing cuz otherwise I’d eat a dozen a day. They’re really fantastic donuts!!! Best we’ve ever had.”
“I had never heard of Scooters before and we had just moved to TN. This place is great!! The girls have been great every time and are so bubbly when you order. Just a suggestion - tip these girls when you purchase. Standing on their feet all day, they really do work hard all day. Just MPO. Great coffee, and oh, the best chocolate chip cookies!!”
“10/10 Coffee Shop. Signature Drinks and good vibes are why coffee shops exist and these drinks and vibes rival the best of coffee shops in Asheville NC. Happy friendly barista’s; it’s all here at Blue Front!”
“The food here is excellent. Very good and priced fairly. The atmosphere is not as great. It’s in a strip mall but don’t let that stop you because it’s worth it. The service can be very hit or miss. We’ve had great service here and terrible service and there seems to be a high server turnover as we rarely see the same server again from visit to visit.”
“Absolutely love this place! Great family atmosphere, amazing food and the cutest little Cafe with an ice cream shop! I love the rolled ice cream and Dole Whip!! Amazing!!”
“Sweetwater is a beautiful little town with urban feel with reasonable prices that attract ALOT of tourist. Hunters bakery & cafe is a great place to have lunch. Fish tacos my favorite.Parking: PLENTY of parking.Kid-friendliness: Variety of favorite meals for kidslWheelchair accessibility: Doors and aisle wide enough for a wheelchair to pass thru”
“We love this place! Found it one night when our power was out and needed dinner. It is a hole in the wall type, but the chorizo dip, birria tacos (it was just a special that day...I don't think it's permanent), and the margarita with the Mexican candy rim are what keep bringing my husband and I back! Nice people too :)”
“First time at a huddle house! Food came out hot and fresh, I had a bacon egg and cheddar biscuit and i was so happy to find out they could put cheddar on my sandwich instead of American cheese!! A lot of places I have to go with no cheese because they only have American slices. I do wish the biscuits would have been a bit buttery or salty or simply more flavorful...and salt and pepper on my egg would have been nice as well. We took it to go as we were on a long drive so I wasn't able to add it myself. Kids loved their pancakes ?”
“Neat 30 min tour of the factory. Saw them making the milk cartons and packaging the milk and labeling the cartons. Had strong smell of buttermilk and chemicals, but otherwise fine. Had to wear hair nets. No photographs allowed inside the factory.Had a decent scoop of ice cream after.”
“Like home cooking!! It's all good. Best Mexican in East Tennessee hands down. Sopes are hand made and packed to the top. Perfect. We drive to this one and pass by all the other restaurants to get here.”
“If you want a place to sit with a friend, eat and talk. This is the place. I had not been in this establishment before. Plenty of seats. Country type place which is welcome to most people around here. Quiet and open atmosphere. I ordered as did my friend and neither of us could say anything negative about anyrhing here.”
“This is hands down the most staffed fast food establishment I've been to outside of chick fil a. They were so kind and courteous. Forgot one chili and was actually apologetic and gave free toppings. Clean ambiance.”
