“Food was hot and fresh, egg rolls was good, shrimp were extra large or jumbo, more of a take out place though, offer no in house drinks other than what is in cooler, and a .17 cent Kroger water is $1.60, I will be back just take it home next “

“First time eating there. Read Grubhub article in paper. He was wrong in his rating, it's a 5! For anyone really serious about Korean/Japanese fine cooking KOKO is a must. It has been said that we eat with our eyes too. Dishes were finely presented and they tasted as good as they looked. Dishes are light and complex without being fussy. I believe they have set the bar for Asian cuisine in Knoxville.“

“Truly a gem ox Knoxville ! It's very reasonably priced Japanese Fare, with wonderful servers and a beautiful chateau style eating scene. I definitely recommend anyone looking to have a romantic dinner, or even a dinner with the boys go here. ( good adult beverages too ?.) And the RAMEN HOLY COW ..!5/5“

“i use to recommend them, I would eat there 3 days a week. school lets out and I haven't been able to come back until today. i told them I needed my app caught up on the bowls I bought when the app was screwed up and she said she could only do 1 a day, that she wasnt sure hownher boss handled that instead of asking for help. she looked new, so maybe she wasn't there at that time. Menu options changed in the 3 weeks since Ive been too.... I guess its time for me to find another favorite place :-(“

“Went for late lunch on 8/6 after checking out fanboy expo, even though decor/atmosphere is more upscale, didn’t feel like we needed to be “dressed up “by any means. I’ve gone to this space several times when it was the previous restaurant so knew what to expect as far as small area/close tables for seating. Miso soup, seafood chowder, duck Bulgogi, and Crispy mushroom rice with added pork belly were all to die for. Can’t wait to go back for dinner sometime!“

“Meeting my friends at Kabuki was an excellent experience. The food was fantastic! We sampled various sushi rolls, and everyone enjoyed them. The pricing was unbeatable for such high-quality, fresh, and delicious food! Our server was friendly and attentive. Thank you, Kabuki!“

“Favorite place. 15 for lunch, 21 for dinner. Plain and simple don't debate, only made fresh unlimited buffet. I mean literally, order you're rolls sashimi, etc. Then your entree's. Eat what you order and you're good. Friendly owners and staff.Order to go, 4-8$ rolls, 7-12$ BIG entrees with rice. Never had one thing missing on an order either. Seriously I do not know why they aren't busier.“

“Mikata is wonderful! Definitely some of the best sushi I've ever had. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. I had raw salmon in both a sushi roll and Nigiri, it was perfect. You can tell they use good fish. This was my first time trying Takoyaki, so I don't have anything to compare it to but, it was amazing. ?“

“Stopped in here with a friend based on her suggestion. Good food, small joint, half priced sushi rolls...Deal. Ended up ordering two amazing half price rolls and some other stuff, and the bill was like... $20 and fist of ones for myself. The fish tastes fresh and service was great. Will absolutely be back.“

“Of the buffets available, it is the largest and with the most variety within the area. There are several types of food. The attention is fast and friendly. The bad thing is sometimes the floor is very dirty and the way employers treat employees is not the best, especially a young Asian man.I would definitely return.“

“We’ve probably visited 4-5 times in the last two months. The food and service have been consistently great! Every time we’ve been the staff have been incredibly friendly, especially with the kids. We really enjoy the sushi and recommend getting the crab rangoons!“

“This is a great cheap alternative to Wasabi or Asia Cafe. You get a good amount of food for a fraction of the cost. Another plus is that its made to order, so it always fresh and hot. The wait isn’t long at all neither only 10-15 minutes. For the yum yum sauce lovers, they give you a medium size container instead of one of the small ones.“

“First time trying Kabuki and we will be back! The best sashimi we have had so far here in Knoxville and we've been everywhere! Everything from the saki to the donuts were amazing! Highly suggest the shrimp tempura, the filet hibachi, the sashimi plate, and the donuts.“

“I’ve been going to Tokyo & Mandarin since I was about 5 years old . I’m now 16. This is definitely a very calm environment and I love that. The service and food is always amazing! My sister and I go often. They’ve never disappointed. I wish they still had hibachi on Sunday but I understand understaffing. The family that runs it is always so polite and hospitable. The waitress that is there every single day is the sweetest woman and amazing at her job! 100/10 recommend.“

“We've done takeout and have dined in and the food is consistently good! Mostly good experiences, but one major complaint, below. We are local and want to support this business! We like the sushi specials. The dining room ambience is just OK, kind of dark and very brown. The young gentleman that is usually there is efficient, but pretty quiet and reserved. Not super welcoming. My big complaint, and why I am compelled to write this review, is that we brought some guests and ate at one of the 2 large round tables with the turntables in the middle. We thought this would be fun to share multiple dishes, and it would be, if that middle 'lazy Susan' turning part actually turned smoothly, and if the glass was clean and not smeared from the last cleaning. Even worse, and the reason for the review, was the used flimsy dollar store type plastic tablecloth on there. You can tell it was reused, who knows how many times. Gross! We should have asked for a fresh one. Come on, guys! It was embarrassing bringing people there nevermind unsanitary, not to mention we spent a good amount on the meal. It's not hard to source tablecloths even if you have to take them home to wash them. Clean this up and we'll gladly be back often with others!“

“The food was amazing and the staff was extremely nice. When we came there were a few phone orders but the inside was empty. I'm unsure why no one was here today, but I 10/10 recommend. In comparison with other asian cuisine places, this is of the higher rankings.“

“Love this place so much! Nama is my favorite sushi bar in Knox! Personally, the downtown location is my favorite for atmosphere, quality, and convience, but when I'm looking to go more causal and not have to have a wait for a table, then I'll come here! The sushi is pretty much the same anyway! The service is very friendly and we normally are served very quickly here.“

“I popped into Nama for the first time last week around 12 noon to grab a quick bite and sat at the bar. Super friendly and fun bartender took my order. A regular customer and another first-timer showed up and also sat at the bar. Had the best time chatting with the other two women. I ordered a bourbon cocktail, 2 pcs of eel sushi, two rolls off the lunch menu (which came with miso soup and a salad!) and tasted a bite of sushi ceviche which was offered up by my new friend sitting next to me at the bar (she literally insisted I try the ceviche and it was amazing). The fish is very fresh with no "fishy" taste or smell. The lunch specials are a pretty good deal. My total bill was about $50. Great variety of wines and beer. Interesting note on the cocktail menu there is a "bartender's choice" which is whatever cocktail the bartender chooses to make for you. It's like a grab bag for alcohol. Looking forward to my next visit to Nama to try that ceviche dish again.“

“I drive past at least half a dozen other places just to come here, twenty minutes each way. They're so incredibly generous with the portion sizes, everything comes out hot and flavorful. I've never had anything less than a perfect meal and the family running the restaurant are friendly as well. You seriously need to try this place if you haven't, drive out of the way if you need to. You won't regret it!“
