“First time at La Hacienda and really enjoyed it as did all that were with me. So far the best Mexican I've found in Shelbyville. Tables were clean as was the restaurant. Portions were very big and food was hot. Service was good and we did not have to wait long at all for our food.“

“Always smells like heaven when I walk in the door. Their bollilo is so good! We go often, even had a larger order for our daughter's wedding and we were so pleased. Everything is fresh and the people are hard working and friendly. They are the best bakery in town.“

“I stopped into this small bakery, which is situated next to a new hair salon... which itself is where my old friend Linit had his Best Donuts shop in the past. I was curious to see what they had compared to Linit's goodlicious fresh donuts, kolaches, and other morning goodies... as he had a solid FIVE STARS from me and I'm sure pretty much everyone else who had crossed his threshold! It was sad to have him move out of state and lose all those goodies... but... Anyway, walking in I was greeted by two smiling faces and one sleepy one... the young daughter of the owner. She's not quite two, but is adorable! I asked if I could take pictures and got the okay... they're not quite finished with everything, but have opened and are working around getting everything else put in place. I have to say WOW on what's in their bakery cases... it's edible ART. BEAUTIFUL. Abel, the owner, came from LA to the little town of Shelbyville to escape the madness that is California; he lived there 15 years. He and his wife are so sweet... I feel like family! They are so welcoming... This is a more Hispanic type bakery than an "American" type... and the bakery cases are filled with breads almost too pretty to eat... cheesecakes, tarts, flan, many gorgeous sweets I have no idea what they are but I want... mega YUM... beautifully decorated cakes and pies that one doesn't normally see around here... it's a literal feast for the eyes before you ever buy anything to eat!!! (I do need to brush up on my Spanish, as English is their second language... but Abel's English is fantastic. No one will have a problem understanding anyone, I don't think.) They offer free coffee with purchase, and if you had been there when Abel had brought out a fresh tray of croissants straight out of the oven... I'm talking SWOON!!! Oh yeah... y'all have to stop in. You really do. The visual makes you want one of EVERYTHING. I think he and his family will do well. Wedding cakes or quinceañeras... parties... birthdays... Abel and his lovely family can handle it beautifully; literally AND figuratively!“

“This little gem is AMAZING! I ordered my husband & I one of their to-go dinners each! It was a ton of food for only $10 each! Lasagna, Salad with homemade Italian Parmesan Dressing, and Garlic Bread! And it was Fabulous. I couldn't have cooked lasagna for that price, let alone it taste so great! I also purchased salt water taffy, cream coated espresso beans, fried pies (blackberry, chocolate, blueberry, apple, & cherry), pimento cheese, & homemade fudge (chocolate/peanut butter, butterfinger, rocky road, & almond joy)! I live in Clarksville Tn and was in Shelbyville visiting my friend/coworker! I wish there was a SteBe's in Clarksville! If you're there for lunch.... try the Lorri sandwich and potato wedges!! Yum!!!!“

“I've been hearing lots of good things about Morning Glory Donuts, so I had to check it out for myself. Walked into to the yellow building at 7:45am to be greeted by Roscoe with his big smile welcoming me to Morning Glory. Had a short wait in line for my turn to order. I was only planning to get 3 or 4 donuts, but after having a sample of a fresh hot glazed donut, I ended up purchasing a dozen different varieties! Here's what I like about Morning Glory Donuts: The place is clean with good lighting, I'm greeted with a genuine welcome & a smile from Roscoe, and the donuts were awesome. They are as good or better than the chain donut stores! Can't wait to try their catfish lunch.“
