Wow! I have never been so satisfied eating Mexican food as I was with this place. First off, I stopped by as I was running late to church and grabbed some things for takeout. Food was ready in like 6 minutes! That was amazing for me since I was already running late. Then I open it up and find amazing sized portions and the best tasting carne asada taco I’ve ever had! The beans and rice were also perfect! Everything tasted fresh and authentic. Best hot sauce hands down that I’ve had. And you can trust me that I’ve ate some good ones because I’m from San Diego! I’ve been searching for great Mexican food and I found it! Also, you can’t beat a kids meal for $5.50! My kids were super happy with their taco and rice and beans. They also gave me chips and salsa to go which was just as good! I can’t wait to go back and dine and and try more!

I can’t say that I was overly excited to hear that Shelbyville, Tennessee had another Mexican restaurant. I think that makes a total of 74 Mexican restaurants in this town. The remaining 67 restaurants are chicken places. Anyway, the food was very very good. So good in fact, that I may no longer visit the other Mexican restaurants. As a matter of fact, here’s a plan…Only go to this restaurant, and then the other ones will go out of business, creating a potential vacuum, which may suck in some other restaurants, so our little town could offer a bit of diversity in the area of cuisine. Seriously though very good food and drinks and much better than the standard “meat and 3” type Mexican places.

The quality of the food definitely makes up for the lack of waitstaff. It seemed like the Host/waiter was one of only two people waiting and bussing the entire restaurant but they both worked as if they had a personal stake in its success which lead me to believe they may have been the owners/operators. The wait for service was only mildly impacted by how busy the two servers were, but overall, an excellent job, and if the money saved by waiting yourselves affords you to pay those chefs well then 5 stars from me.
Very good food and drinks somehow waitress need to be more organized we wait long time sometimes to get refills or something we need hopefully service gets better and I update from 4 to 5

Another delicious Mexican restaurant in Shelbyville. There is no shortage of Mexican food in town & when I come in to visit family I usually stop at one of my favorites for lunch (Los 3 Reyes & La hacienda are my two faves) but my brother in law told me about this place which has only been up & running for a few months. He showed me a photo of Birria Ramen & I was sold. Came here with a party of 4 on a Friday at opening 11am. We ordered birria ramen & street tacos & a large cheese dip. Cheese dip was good as expected but the birria tacos & top ramen was amazing & a lot of food also! Service was good, only docking one star because the entire place stunk like sewer. Enough so that it could turn people away. Hopefully that is temporary cause food was great. I will have to come back here regularly as the birria ramen might be competing with the nachos Reyes as my favorite dish in town. TIP: BIRRIA RAMEN ISNT ON THE MENU, JUST ASK FOR IT.
