“Very good food and service. We'll be back!Update: since discovering our two young daughters have Celiac's disease, they are always so kind and help us ensure they do not get or order items with gluten. Also, accommodated with spices, etc. It's our families favorite place to eat in town! “

“GPS will mislead you but be persistent: this joint is a can't miss hole-in-the-wall Mexican place. Drive around the car wash, and you'll find yourself in the right place; walk through the grocery and find yourself a seat. Prepare for greatness. The chips were served warm and the salsa cold. They serve beer! A great way to wash down your meal. The hubs said his chili verde was among the best he's ever had (worth finishing with a Tums). It definitely tasted like it was made from scratch. I loved the shrimp chipotle. So many shrimp! So much fiery spice! The perfectly seasoned rice, sour cream and guac cooled things down (and the beer helped). Oh, that guacamole? Spring for the appetizer of it--chunky with just the right amount of onions--so good. It wasn't the best part (because the food was so good) but the check was mighty nice. I felt bad paying so little for this meal.“

“I love this place. It’s the best Mexican food in the area. I’ve stopped in for dinner every weekend since moving to Smithville a couple months ago. The food is really authentic, not priced super high, and they don’t just smother everything in sauce like most local Mexican places do.Also the service is great. The owner, waitress, and chef are all super accommodating and friendly. Definitely worth the trip!“

“Holy pozoley! If your gringo sense is put off by plates from previous patrons left on a table not cleared expeditiously, walk away. Your tastebuds will hate you and everyone will know your an L7, weenie! Hell, you might have to take some of those plates and put them on another table and wipe it yourself to get a spot. Who knows, but it is worth it! That being said, walk into the market and head to the back seating area and take a seat! What's good? All of it! If you're uncertain of what to try but want to experience something, start with the gringo friendly options like a burrito or variety of tacos. The house red sauce and green sauce served with the meal is superb. Salsa and queso has a savory element to it. El Yucateco red and green are the standard bottle sauce at the table here. Weekend only menu is divine. This is the not messing around crew folks. When you are done eating you'll pay at the front where one register takes a card and the others are only cash. Be sure to pick up a Boing to drink for the road as you make your way out. Be mindful that you're the guest and you should happily enjoy yourself. If you're not comfortable being in a location where English is not the primary language spoken by employees and patrons alike this likely is not your spot.“

“We were on a trip from Houston and coming back from a hike on twin falls. This place popped up and omg we are so happy it did. The food was amazing & best of all their horchata. Service was fast and amazing, always checking in on us. Absolutely loved it, and again the food was amazing. If we are ever back in TN and near here definitely will be going back.“
